Would you trade JJ for Randolph?

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
JJ has shown a lot of promise on offense and defense. He seems to be a great pick and roll player with Lebron and he is a great finisher at the rim.

Randolph seems to be a mismatch problem for a lot of teams at the PF spot. I read somewhere that he is a legit 7 footer now and in the link provided by Smooth, i think it says he put 20lbs of muscle on. He is basically a cross between Lamar Odom and KG. He has the ball handling skills to play like Odom and the length and shotblocking ability to play somewhat like KG.

The league is all about missmatches and Randolph would definantly be a missmatch for a lot of teams. JJ has really grown on me and i love his ability and i have always liked Randolph's ability and potential. This would be a hard decision but i think at the end of the day, you make the trade for Randolph. There just seems to be too much potential there to not take a chance and it seems like if he is pushed enough, he can reach his potential and his ceiling is very high.

This is not anywhere near the home run we need this offseason.
Yeah, this is why I want the #6 too. Then we could say "hey look LeBron, we're finally putting young players with lots of upside around you." Plus we'd still have some other expirings to use after/at the deadline and the MLE and hopefully draft picks we purchase.

Without the #6 it's kinda a lateral move and probably not enough to retain LBJ unless he's set on staying even if we can't get a second star.

I'd like Randolph, but I'd prefer not to give up JJ. 'nuff said. If we could give something like a future second and parker, count me in.
Sarcasm? That's beyond awful for GS.

I
Did you read the whole article?

"Randolph, who weighed 210 pounds last season, has added 20 pounds of muscle, according to two sources."

Based on what?

Well, I hope he gained muscle. He got hurt in early January and I'm sure that they had him in the weight room once he was able to get in there. I'm sure he wasn't just sitting around after the injury, they had to have him do something...

And I'm just basing what I said on what the Warriors franchise is saying. I guess they could be wrong. But that's what I based it on.

No trade is imminent, but the Timberwolves and Warriors have discussed a deal that would send forward Anthony Randolph to Minnesota.
The Warriors reportedly have concerns about Randolph's maturity, and Randolph's agent said he "wouldn't be opposed" to leaving Golden State. He could come a dear price, though beyond Minny's #4 pick it's unclear what the Warriors want in return.

And earlier in the season I when their were talks of us being interested in him I heard he had maturity questions as well. This isn't the first time I have heard it.

Randolph is a better player than JJ now and has a higher ceiling...so I do this asap. Randolph has to play for a senile Don Nelson...Look at the effect that change of scenery had for Captain Jack. Imagine what it would do for Randolph. A sense of stability and a winning team would wonders for him.

Wrong...dead wrong.

As far as Randolph adding all this muscle goes, according to "reports", which if all were true, he would have grown 4 inches and added 40 pounds of muscle over the last two seasons. In reality? He might have grown an inch or two but he's still a fucking twig nonetheless.

No thanks to Darius Randolph...I mean Anthony Mlles...I mean..

Lol at Boobie holding on hope that Rudy T is a possibility as our new head coach. I would love it but it is not 1995 anymore. Keep your Rudy chant but change your picture to Rudy GAY!

He's younger than JJ, better than JJ, and has more potential than JJ. If it was a JJ for AR4 swap of course I would do it. Taking on Maggette and using our Delonte chip as well? HELL NO.

What about Monta?

I'd trade JJ for Randolph and the 6th pick. :D

I would do it...but not this offseason.

It would be a lateral move, and it would get rid of one of our biggest assets. Not a way to keep LeBron and build a championship team.

What about Monta?

What position does Monta play if he gets traded here? A 6'3" SG who doesn't play defense doesn't have a place on the Cavs. Boobie is lights out shooting and is a better defender than Mo and he couldn't even see the floor. Add that to the fact that he is a poor 3P shooter, and feels the need to shoot the ball 22 times a game and I say he has no place on the Cavs. I'd rather have a S&T Morrow so we don't have to use our MLE on a SG along with their 2011 1st because I doubt they are giving up their 2010 just to dump Maggette.

Anyone can put up numbers in Golden State.

He just had a season ending serious injury and weighs 87 pounds.

JJ put up solid numbers on a team where he never got the ball. He has a better frame and has already shown he can battle with bigger players.

If JJ was in GS and Randolph was here, JJ's numbers would look A LOT better than Randolphs.
