WWE/TNA/Etc Spoiler Thread

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
From what I read this was the first time that Cena has lost clean in a non-title, no stipulation PPV match since 2008 Summerslam against Batista.

Wrestlemania 28 v. The Rock

And while I understand these next couple of examples were title matches, Cena lost clean to Daniel Bryan at Summerslam 2013, Randy Orton at TLC 2013 and Brock Lesnar at Summerslam 2014.

So it's not like he's never lost clean. That's four instances just in the last three years alone.

I don't really have a problem with Cena so much as a problem with how the WWE handles him. It feels like they just re-use the same feud with him over and over again, and the ending is always pre-ordained.

Having a hero who never faces any adversity is both boring and bad storytelling, and I never feel like Cena faces any adversity compared to most of the other guys on the roster.

Having him feud with Samoa Joe and Cena is a great idea. That'll get him even more noticed. He's so good in ring. I would have loved to see him vs Daniel Bryan.

I just can't see Dana White allowing Rousey to compete. She is the biggest draw for UFC and if something was to happen to her, they'd lose a lot of money. Unless she threw on an armbar to get the win, that's about it.

Kevin Owens is easily one of the most talented in-ring guys I've ever seen. He's pretty good on the mic too, but damn man the stuff he pulled out for that Cena match was incredible. I feel like he pulled off more moves in one match than Cena has in the last decade worth of matches. That spinning jump he did from the middle rope to the top rope followed by the back flip splash (it missed, but whatever) was ridiculous for a guy that looks like Owens.

I used to agree, but the fact that she's such a huge draw is probably what gives her the leverage to do it. She is the women's division in UFC, and if she threatens to not re-up her contract if White doesn't let her have some fun in the WWE, he'll cave in a heartbeat. He also seems to be on fine terms with the WWE now, which doesn't hurt.

That double clutch powerbomb into a side slam was ridiculous too. He has such a crazy mix of size, strength and athleticism. A guy that looks like Owens is what makes him so appealing. You see guys like Brock Lesnar, ect being physically capable of that. It wasn't a Vadersault... The dude had technique and caught air too. Same with his senton. And doing what he did to a guy like Cena without any dirty tricks at the very least shows that the WWE believes in him.

If Rousey competes at WM32 it'll be easy enough to protect her in a mixed tag match. The Rock and H will carry most of the match with the occasional tag and Rousey tossing Steph around the ring.

Id bet money Brock will put over Owens eventually. Maybe as soon as WM.

I don't think it'll be this Wrestlemania. Seems like they're pushing Stone Cold vs Lesnar hard. I hope it's not Taker. I'm pretty much imagining him vs a superface. Maybe Reigns? Or if Ryback actually gets pushed at this pace.

It is nice to see WWE actually pushing a guy whose in-ring ability matches the effort they're making to push him. Seems like too often you see guys like Reigns getting pushed well before they're ready simply because they look the part. I'd rather see Kevin Owens go in there and put on incredible matches than watch Roman Reigns and his four moves just because he's ripped.

Probably doesn't hurt that Owens is solid on the mic as well.

The SCSA vs Lesnar thing wont happen. Its all smoke & mirrors. One suplex and Stone Cold will be in a wheel chair. No way they put him at rick with all of his chronic neck problems.

Watching last night's NXT. Eva Marie came out to make an announcement. I wasn't listening to the announcement. She may have announced being sent down to NXT. IDK. Either way that crowd was harsh as hell. Straight boo'd her non stop. Wouldn't let her speak and threw in a solid "you can't wrestle" chant. Eva Marie was about in tears.

Yeah...there are guys Stone Cold might be able to put on a decent match with at this point in his career, but a guy whose entire arsenal is based around suplexes, particularly like the ones Lesnar drops repeatedly in a match, is not one of them. It won't happen since he's already basically booked to fight Triple H and they're both faces, but The Rock would actually be a pretty good choice for Austin to fight since none of his signature moves are ones that drop guys on their shoulder/neck areas.

Im not really seeing Owens as a Heel. I kinda like the angle they are taking here of just two guys not liking each other.

WWE has done alot of things to get away from the traditional heel, face archetype. Starting with Stone Cold Steve Austin and Sting.

The idea was to put out personalities that created division amongst the fans

its almost getting to the point where "face and Hell is merely a designation of who is more heel or who is more face on any given rivalry.

Throw in constant turns by both heels and faces and its really not the distinction it used to be.

WWE has also incooprated mini organization where wrestlers are judged by the company they keep. Nwo, The authority etc. these groups also create Heel on heel and face on face battles just by association.

Rusev was a traditional heel and it sucked.

Look at Seth Rollins theyve been teetering him between heel with some faceish qualities. using the authority to establish his heeldom and at the same time in the process of being established as a potential face with his constant in and out relationship with the authority bosses even while Ambrose is looking like a face while using Heel Tactics.

the anti hero or vigilante is alive and well in the WWE

WWE didn't create his character, it was just carried over from WCW.
