-There was some heat on Titus O’Neil for botching the end of Darren Young vs. CM Punk on last week’s RAW.
Titus is well liked backstage but the feeling he was too sloppy and the spot didn’t look good.
-Many talents were watching the Daniel Bryan vs. Randy Orton rubber match “closely on the monitors backstage” as
Bryan has become must-see TV. It was noted how Bryan is on another level in terms of his in-ring work and talent.
Vince McMahon’s promo from earlier in the show was basically him making fun of himself for being so wrong about Bryan.
-
Daniel Bryan has been discussed to win the Money in the Bank Ladder Match for a shot at the WWE Title.
-The Money in the Bank Ladder Match for a shot at the World Heavyweight Title was
put together at the last minute at last week’s SmackDown tapings. As of that night, they had no winner picked yet.
-While some are happy to see The Usos get a push on WWE TV,
nobody sees them as legit contenders to WWE Tag Team Champions Seth Rollins and Roman Reigns. The feeling is that Rollins and Reigns need a quick filler feud until The Undertaker potentially returns for SummerSlam.
-You may remember during the recent Paul Heyman and CM Punk segment on RAW where Heyman mentioned “making millions on a tag match.” This was a bit of a
shoot comment as Heyman actually recently pitched the idea of doing an unsanctioned street fight with Punk and Brock Lesnar vs. Shawn Michaels and Triple H. Obviously the idea was shot down.
-WWE officials are
not done with Ryback and internally, he’s still seen as a main event talent. He’s expected to defeat Chris Jericho at Money in the Bank in what’s being called another “stepping stone” for him.
-While Daniel Bryan vs. John Cena has been discussed for SummerSlam, there are others
pushing for Cena to defend against Mark Henry and Ryback in a Triple Threat.
-WWE has apparently
decided against signing Ring of Honor Adam Cole. Regarding Mike Bennett, the feeling within WWE is that he won’t be signed at this time, even though there was interest from WWE.
-Believe it or not, there is already talk of
having CM Punk win the 2014 WWE Royal Rumble and challenge for the WWE Title at WrestleMania XXX. Punk’s dream has always been to close out WrestleMania and the seeds may have been planted on Monday’s RAW in the promo with Paul Heyman.

This is older news than the above news about possibly having the Triple Threat at SummerSlam:
-
The Daniel Bryan vs. John Cena WWE Title match is now planned to co-headline SummerSlam with Brock Lesnar vs. CM Punk. With WWE’s Total Divas reality show airing at that point
with Cena and Bryan’s relationships with The Bella Twins being featured, it’s very likely that Brie and Nikki will be featured in the Cena-Bryan storyline.
-Regarding the quality of WWE TV in recent weeks and how it pertains to the writers, word is that it’s not The McMahons nor the writers that should be credited, but a lot of good luck. A source says that the
Mark Henry retirement ruse, as it was scripted, was good but far from the great segment it turned out to be. Henry took the segment in a direction that wasn’t planned and one that nobody saw coming.
-The June 24th RAW, for the first time in weeks
had minimal changes from how the show was presented on June 21st, last Friday, when scripts were finalized. John Cena and CM Punk had already gone through and approved their segments before the final script was presented.
-Currently, there are
no plans for another member to join Paul Heyman’s group. Heyman has suggested to WWE’s creative team that Curtis Axel be kept separate from the CM Punk / Brock Lesnar program.
There was discussions on having
Triple H & his wife Stephanie McMahon teaming against Paul Heyman and Curtis Axel in a mixed tag match at SummerSlam, but some don’t think its a good idea for Heyman to take part in a match since he will be managing Brock Lesnar on the same show.
-No word yet where WWE is going with the McMahon family storyline with Triple H, Vince McMahon and Stephanie McMahon but the
feeling is that it will end with Triple H taking all power from Vince, at least in the storylines. The storyline is being heavily featured because the USA Network sent word to WWE that they wanted more of the McMahons on TV.
-As noted earlier, Rob Van Dam was interviewed by VOC Nation Radio. Here are a few more highlights from the interview.
Nature of his current deal with WWE: “It’s
definitely not a couple of appearances and I’m gone.”
WWE schedule: “I’m definitely not interested in a full time schedule. I asked WWE before I left if there was anything for me part time (like TNA had offered), and they wanted me back but they wanted me full time.”
WWE changing their thoughts on wrestlers working mandatory full time schedules: “Now things have changed; there’s
different people in the office there that are more sympathetic and understanding to the road life combined with the wrestling career. They came around; this is going to be awesome. There is a lot of excitement.”
The way that his signing impacted the industry: “There are a lot of moves that can be done in the ring to pop the crowd; there’s not a lot of things that can be done to pop the industry – - guess what I did? BOOM!”
The power of the WWE brand: “A lot of people didn’t notice a lot of what I did over the last 3 years.
With one 48 second video, WWE made RVD more relevant than he had been in the past several years. A lot of fans don’t watch (TNA).
People were asking me if I retired, and I felt like a constant ambassador telling people to watch TNA to see me.”
