No, you need all of the info before you make a sound judgment. You going off of a chart with no context explaining it seems kinda ignorant to me. Who put that chart out? What relationship to sony/microsoft do they have? Need more info before you start saying that chart is fact hell for all we know some 15yo kid could have thrown some bullshit together and posted it up on the net for people like you to take and run with.

Wtf? Mac is giving you what he believes off of history I am telling you what I read. You put up a price chart with no explanation on where it came from. Sure if I do a search on a part off of that list it might be 250 for the avg. consumer but those companies sign contracts to get it at a lower price you think they would make any money buying stuff at what we pay? Besides, your price chart still doesn't show either of the systems having a leg up just that the PS3 is gonna cost a grand. Based on the PS3 exclusive games I think it is gonna be the better system. Xbox games eventually come to the comp anyway.

Sony Slips PS3 Price

April 5, 2006 - The word is out. Yesterday, Vice President of Sony Computer Entertainment Europe George Fornay let the PS3's European price slip. According to Fornay, the PS3 will cost between 499 and 599 euros. That translates to between $613 and $736 for us in the States.

SCE France boss indicates 500 - 600 Euro pricing for PS3

Sony Computer Entertainment France president George Fornay has revealed that the PlayStation 3 will be sold for between 500 and 600 Euro when it launches in November, in the clearest indication yet of Sony's pricing strategy.

Speaking to radio station Europe 1 in an interview which has now been widely circulated online, Fornay said that the console would be available for "around 500 Euro", with his expectation being that it will be priced between 499 and 599 Euro.

Arguing in favour of this price point, Fornay said that the inclusion of Blu-Ray and HD functionality justifies the expense of the console, and that compared to other devices offering similar media functionality, the PS3 will be relatively cheap.

Before considering the price, however - which does translate to between roughly $600 and $750 dollars - it's important to bear in mind that European prices are often quoted inclusive of local sales tax, which can be in the region of 20 per cent.
