ahh the ring of death, my friend bought a brand new 360 and got the ring of death 3 days later...he switched and got a PS3.

if you got a warrenty, youll be fine, or you can be an asshole and buy a new one, put the old one in the box and return it, which is what i did when my PS2 broke.

Not sure how you pulled that one off. When purchasing a gaming system, the cashier has to scan the bar code and the serial number. That's why the PS2 boxes had the die cut so you can scan the actual system as well.

You're either full of it, or the cashier is just dumb.

i did it at costco, and the thing that was funny, was when i first did it, someone had did exactly what i did, the one i got was fried, i returned it, and got another and it worked. so i guess the people at the register were just dumb...

Amac,
Happened to me when I first got my 360 on the release date. Call 1800-4-MY-XBOX theyll send you this cardboard box, MAKE SURE YOU REMOVE YOUR HARD DRIVE or they will not return it. Turn around is pretty quick and you should have it back in like a week.

When you sell this many consoles some are sure to have issues...P$3 where you at? Oh yeah on the shelves because nobody is buying you.

Glen, apple doesn't make any gaming devices, but how many time did they f-up the ipod? I returned mine like 4 times because it was so jacked up. I think it took a few generations before they got that product fixed. Hush.

I'm not sure what Apple has to do with gaming systems, but I have a PS3.

Duh, It's Microsoft.

That's what apple has to do with this.

I know you have a B$3, and I hope you enjoy it as Sony isn't known for "high quality" or awesome customer support either.

Just as long as my system can last long enough to get this game, i'll be fine.

I cannot argue, MGS is a great series of games.

But besides Old snake, this is the best use for that system.

I didn't even know you can open a playstation like that.

As much heat as the PS3 gives off, I'm sure it's good for cooking such things.

So now along with the screen freezing, I went out today and bought a memory unit.

I save my game to the memory unit but when I try to laod a game from the MU, its not there. It says I have no files.

I log out of the game and goto my dashboard and under system memory, it says I have my legacy saved under my memory unit but for some wild reason, it never shows up when I start my game and i try to laod it

Mac wish I could help...I have the 30gb hd and have never used a memory card on my 360 yet. Try maybe reformatting the card?

Any problems with the XBOX over-heating, Mac? I read in a magazine yesterday you can buy a special device that is almost like a fan that is attached to your XBOX that runs of its power and it cools it down so it doesn't over-heat... I think it was like somewhere around $20 bucks...
