XBox issues.

Ok...what I Dont get is if I put the HDD back on the XBox, it finally allows me to load the game.

So if I have to use my HDD to access my memory unit, what the **** is the point of the memory unit?

If I knew how shitty the XBox was put together, I dont think I ever would have gotten one.

My buddy has already experienced the three ring of death, which pretty much is a wrap for your xbox.

Now mine is freezing constantly...I did the memory clear thing that xbox.com support said to do but that didnt help.

I had the ring of death actually and fixed it on my own. I called them up and did what the guy on the machine said and it fixed the problem. I took the hdd out, unpluged the powersupply from the plug, waited about 5 minutes and pluged it back in along with the HDD. Turned it on and it worked.

I'm pretty sure the memory unit is for you to save your profile at least that's what my friend does with his. Then he can bring it to my dorm and play my 360 without recovering his tag.

Sorry, but Xbox 360 has better games then any other next generation console out. My friend bought a PS3 and it broke on the first day. I also know someone that's wii broke, but he got a ps3 for it cause best buy had no more wii's. Pretty much every system has it's problems especially if they are launch consoles, along with shortly after ones.

Not a chance...my buddy has a PS3 and its hands down better on gameplay and graphics. I havent been onlineon either, but Xbox was always better anyway on that aspect.

Everybody I know has had to turn their Xbox in because of something going wrong with it. Its nuts how big a peice of crap that system is.

I cant even use my harddrive anymore. It freezes anytime I try to load or save anything to it.

My XBOX 360 burnt out on me as well. You have to send it out now at your OWN cost. If it's past the 90 day warranty you get f'd by microsoft. They'll fix it, but it will cost you around $100 (ask for a manager, and they will get the cost down about 20%). The turn around for me was less then 2 weeks. Annoyed from the whole process, and feeling cheated, I did buy the fan for the back of the console that a few of the other guys mentioned. It has in fact worked, and I have not had any sort of problems with my 360 in about 9mos (knock on wood). And for those pushing the other systems, I actually have all 3 in my household (I have a wii and 360, my roommate has a PS3), and, IMO, despite the probs, the 360 is by far the best machine. Best games, great internet connection, best internet interface.

Other things I might mention, there is an "auto off" feature on the 360 that turns it off if it is on w/ inactivity for a few hours. Living w/ roommates, my 360 would sometimes stay on for days w/o activity, prob causing some of my probs.

You can also buy an extended warranty from Microsoft for like $50 or something. That covers your xbox in case it burns out.

I got the year warranty because the POS system has crapped out on so many people.

My HDD is the problem for me, so I dont think the fan would matter with that. Dunno. my buddy got the fan and his is stilla POS.

Xbox 360 has Gears of War, New Halo 2 maps (including hang em high), Halo 3 beta (to hold halo fans over), better madden and NCAA football, GTA series (supposed to be exclusive, more Final Fantasy (soon), Kotor 3 (soon), and Halo 3 (soon to come). Did I mention the control has vibrations and PS3 don't? What a joke!

That doesn't matter, PS3 should still have duel shock and more then one good game for the price they are asking for it. Not to mention, Xbox kills online. It's untouchable right now. All sports games are more crisp as well on a 360.
