Halo 2 multi was really solid actually.

Still doesn't touch a lot of PC experiences though. I can't help I feel that way and it's not something that can be disproven with hyper long posts.

No one is trying to "disprove" your personal opinion. Especially when you preface your thought with "I can't help I feel that way."

lol.

Anyways, I liked UT but it certainly wasn't my favorite shooter. Halo 2 was the pinnacle of console multiplayer shooters IMO, some would argue CoD but there's a growing dissent against that franchise whereas Halo 2 seems to be universally hailed. I definitely enjoyed my time on it but the memories just don't match that of the ones I had on Day of Defeat or Counter Strike, which were free fuckin games to begin with. Trying to remember what other shooters I played around that time period. Truthfully, I've always liked RTS far more than FPS.

Gouri, I read the first sentence. But I baited the fuck out of you.

UT2k4 was still better.

Two words. Suck. It.

Not sure why you brought up single-player at all. UT2k4 didn't even have a single-player mode.

So anyway, after owning my Xbox for a few weeks now, I'm in love. Was a great decision to get the guy to throw in the Kinect unit for an additional $50 - I could sit around and talk to this thing like an isolated loner all day long.

So I don't know if it's legit or not, but apparently Dell's BF deal is going to be a PS4 with GTAV, and TLOU for 399, and an XB1 ACreed bundle for 329.

Just looking at that, why in the world would anyone wait to buy an XB1 for 329 on BF, when the day AC Unity comes out you can get it for 349?

It just doesn't make sense to me. Wait in line at an ungodly time (or wait up online), to save 20 bucks?

At least the PS4 deal has an actual savings attached to it. Still couldn't see myself waiting in a line for hours to save a hundred bucks, but I can see others doing it.

About to get a Xbox one. GameStop has the assassins creed bundle for 349. Will probably pick up one game. Thinking about getting Madden or NBA 2k14

I'm very strongly considering getting an XB1. I've given it a lot of thought, and all these network outages on PS4 have killed it for me.

I'm going to see what the deals are like BF (Canada), and if that fails, which it will, Boxing day. The only problem is, I have 450 bucks in PSN money (25% off sale, got carried away), so I need to keep the PS4.

Single player games for PS4 multi for XB1? At least for the time being. I don't want to "reward" MS for the drm bs, but i damn sure do not want to reward Sony for their shit online service. It was fine when it was free, now you want me to pay for it, it better work every god damn time I want to use it.

Sony's PlayStation Vue Service Will Deliver Television To Consoles In Early 2015

Sony has announced, PlayStation Vue, a service that will deliver television programming to users via PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 3 consoles. The company anticipates having it ready for consumers in the first quarter of 2015.

The publisher has announced a number of partners that will be available when the service goes live, including CBS, NBC (including Bravo, SyFy, and USA Network), FOX (including sports, NatGeo, and FX channels), Discovery Communications, Scripps Network Interactive (HGTV, Food Network, DIY Network, and others), and Viacom (Comedy Central, Spike, MTV, and more). Others will be announced later.

Sony says there will be no contracts, and that there won't be hidden fees. An invite-only beta is slated to begin this month, offering approximately 75 channels. The service will also offer on-demand programming related to partner channels. It will eventually be available beyond the PlayStation consoles, including an iPad app.

No specific pricing has been announced, but PlayStation Vue will roll out in select cities. New York is up first, followed by Chicago, Philadelphia, and Los Angeles

Need Turner to get in on that and I'm all set. I need my cartoon network/adult swim.

Apparently Far Cry 4 has an alternate ending that can be reached in about thirty minutes. Sounds pretty interesting. It says that the article contains spoilers for Far Cry 4, but it doesn't really seem to spoil anything from the main game, just the alternate ending. Not that Far Cry has ever really been about the story anyway.

Be warned that this post contains heavy spoilers for Far Cry 4.

Far Cry (and it's spin-off, Crysis) has always been a series with choices. It's your choice how to approach combat, how to progress the story, and even what ending you end up with. Now that people are getting their hands on the game, they are discovering that Ubisoft have added a rather significant choice very early on in the game, which allows players to skip straight to a very clever alternate ending within 30 minutes of play time. That's about as vague as I can get without spoiling anything, so if you're cool with being spoiled, please read on.

Essentially, at the very start of the game, Far Cry 4's main antagonist Pagan Min invites the player to eat a meal with him. At one point, he gets up and leaves, and tells the player to sit and enjoy his meal for a few minutes. This is where most players will get up, leave the room, and go on to start the regular Far Cry 4 campaign. But, for the patient, obedient types, if you sit at the table for a full 15 minutes, Min will return, and the alternate ending will begin.

The video above shows the ending in full, but the TL;DW version is that Min allows the player to place his mother's ashes in their final resting place - next to her daughter, who we also discover is Min's daughter (making Min a sort of step-father to the player). You then get back into the helicopter with Min and the credits roll.

It's certainly a very creative and interesting Easter egg. I wish more games did stuff like this.

^^^ That brings me back to the days of Myst where you got the real ending in 20-45 minutes by finding the white page.

That is actually really, really cool.

Excited for this game.

Yeah it looks really good, which shouldn't really be surprising I guess, as Far Cry 3 was also really good.

Gamespot didn't like it that much sounds like.

Other reviews seem positive.

Not sure to get this or GTA5.
