scripture clearly says there will be earthquakes in various places... so are we going to ignore the prophecy here about the last days and look another direction for an answer blatantly ignoring the truth because you dont want to believe it?

this is the thing,

2 Timothy 2:13 If we are unfaithful, he remains faithful, since he cannot deny himself.

that means, even if you dont believe, your disbelief doesnt make God any less real.

basically, you can cover your eyes like a child trying to hide thinking, because you dont see them that they dont see you. no, my friend. it dont work that way. your disbelief doesnt make Him any less real to you.

You described my profile pretty well in terms of age and health.

When are you expecting the world to end? Perhaps we can base the bet around that date.

no man knows what day or hour the Lord is returning, not the angels, not even JESUS Himself. only God, the Father. but because God left us His Word, and prophecies as warnings for us to follow, we are able to know when, era wise. and it is definitely picking up some speed.

Matthew 24:36-39 “But as for that day and hour no one knows it – not even the angels in heaven – except the Father alone. For just like the days of Noah were, so the coming of the Son of Man will be. For in those days before the flood, people were eating and drinking, marrying and giving in marriage, until the day Noah entered the ark. And they knew nothing until the flood came and took them all away. It will be the same at the coming of the Son of Man.

you see the Lord talking about the days of Noah when the flood swept everybody away because nobody was paying attention. noah preached the flood and God for 120 years before the flood, and NOBODY would listen. they just kept living in sin, carrying on as if they had not a care in the world. and ANYBODY could have gotten on the ark, but nobody believed what he was saying, then the flood came and swept them away.. just like it will happen when the Lord returns. compare the Lords return to the flood. people will not be saved because they did not believe.

as far as knowing the times we are living in, this is what the Lord had to say about paying attention:

Matthew 16:1-4 Now when the Pharisees and Sadducees came to test Jesus, they asked him to show them a sign from heaven. He said, “When evening comes you say, ‘It will be fair weather, because the sky is red,’ and in the morning, ‘It will be stormy today, because the sky is red and darkening.’ You know how to judge correctly the appearance of the sky, but you cannot evaluate the signs of the times. A wicked and adulterous generation asks for a sign, but no sign will be given to it except the sign of Jonah.”

it is our responsibility to pay attention to whats going on in the world to know what time we are living in. the great tribulaion is happening as we speak.. that means the time is very near. yall can be warned. or yall can just take it with a grain of salt and carry on like they did in Noahs days and miss the boat when the flood comes.. dont get left behind.

But all of these things have happened concurrently a multitude of times over the last 2000+ years. Why now and not any of those other times? What's the difference?

no it hasnt. not at all.

non-believers dont read the Word so they are not aware of what it says, the events, the timeline, etc. they just hear the prophecies and say they are to are not clear and and decisive enough.

Broad generalization. Just about as true as saying that all Jews have big noses.

You can read The Bible and not believe it. Many people who ended up more confident in other religions have read The Bible and not believed it. Many students have done so too. Your generalization doesn't make your belief that people can read it and not believe it true.

this is quite the ironic statement because this is exactly what the theory of evolution is. countless ideas turned beliefs.

let me tell you where the theory of evolution started. it obviously started with darwin. what was it, the 1800s? he came up with this out the thin air. he was outside admiring the world, the mountains, the sky, the flowers, trees, the birds, animals and the whole natural scene in general and was admiring in awe.. and he said, "no way did a all powerful God make this in 6 days".

THAT is how the idea of evolution came about.. by somebody who DIDNT AND REFUSED TO BELIEVE.

Matthew 22:29 Jesus answered them, “You are deceived, because you don’t know the scriptures or the power of God.

the theory of evolution was birthed by disbelief. but why couldnt he believe God created the world and the universe in 6 days? because he couldnt comprehend such a powerful being. a all powerful God that things happen at HIS SPOKEN WORD. thats power.

Most things that are right came about in response to not believing something that was wrong. Are you saying that Darwin is wrong in his claims about evolution? Or do you believe that God created things and acknowledged that those things evolved?

Do you believe that one can't believe in both God and evolution?

you see what that says, the gospel of the kingdom will be preached throughout the whole inhabited world, and THEN the end will come. guess what.. do you realize how close we are to the gospel being preached throughout the entire world??? i say theres like 1% that it hasnt reached... and THEN the end will come... take that and add it to this

So you're committing to the 1% thing? Define preached. Do people just have to hear it? Do they have to believe it? Do they have to go to church?

If that 1% hits while we're both alive, can I get paid?

on top of that, its a proven fact that christians are thee most persecuted group of people in the entire world..

What's the proof of this? Are you talking in terms of volume, like how many people are being persecuted? Or the quality of the persecution?

you can look the other way if yo want, but you cant deny the accuracy of the Word, the prophecies.

I can deny it. And I'm not looking the other way here. I've exposed myself to religion so enough of an extent that I just don't believe in enough of what they're saying that the credibility is lost on things that actually seem feasible too.

but i will tell you, i lived without Jesus, and i am living with him. life without him was very dry, very unsatisfying. always searching for something to fill that void in me. sex, alcohol, party party, sex sex, as many sex partners as possible. and i was miserable. but sex and other worldly lusts did not fill me, did not fulfill me. i was still thirsty, still searching for something that only Jesus could give me.

i use to suffer from depression for 8years. i was on meds and everything. this was before i was born again and baptized. i knew about JESUS but i didnt KNOW Him. 1 day i heard that voice in the back of my head, it told me that Jesus is a healer and all i have to do is pray and to throw the medicine away.

so what i do? i was like, yea you are right, i will pray and put these pills away. after a week of prayer, that depression that was such a huge problem in my life, it controlled my life, it was a MOUNTAIN in my life... after some faithful praying, that depression was no longer a factor and the Good Lord through that mountain in th ocean like He said He would.

This is AWESOME. I'm glad that's what worked for you and frankly...if you believe this and don't hurt anybody with your beliefs and it's made you feel better, more power to you.

I can completely understand why religion would work for someone. There's a great deal of value in believing in it and I respect the hell out of it fulfilling people. You're a far more useful human being to the world if you're happy and content and I assume that you're committing Christian acts and helping others as part of your faith.

With all that said, I likely believe in most of the morals and principals that you do but I don't believe in them because they came from The Bible, and I don't interpret The Bible literally either. In fact, I don't believe about 90% of the OId Testament, though I do believe a great deal of the New Testament minus the miracles.

As or sex, alcohol and partying...it's mostly unproductive and people tend to seek it out to forget other problems. All of these things in moderation can be useful and enjoyable. I love having sex with my wife. I love to drink a beer or two and I enjoyed getting drunk and hanging out with friends and I was in college. I firmly believe these things can be done in the right way and SHOULD be done in the right way...that is safely and without hurting others. To me, it makes sense to do the things that make you happy until they hurt others. And just as importantly, do things to help others be happy as well.

people can deny if they want, but people dont know. because if they knew, then they would know. and thats the bottom line.

Again... I'm against generalizations and absolutes and you're dealing in them heavily.

you are very wrong.

whats there to bet?

Well, this is fun.

Which things out of persecution and earthquakes are you claiming haven't happened at the same time People have been persecuting each other since people existed. The earth has been having earthquakes since pressure started building up inside of it.

As for the bet...The bet is money. All of mine. I'll throw in my eternal soul as well, but you seem like a nice enough guy/gal that you wouldn't take it from me. The issue I can see is that if you're right, what the hell good is my money going to do for you? It'll all be burning with me down in hell and who the hell needs currency during the Apocalypse?

You've also set the goalposts at the 1% thing, and it's gonna be tough to confirm everyone's heard the word of Jesus. And what about all the people that died without hearing of Jesus? Do they count against me?

your money is worthless in a perishing world.

lets take another look at some more last time prophecies that are happening as we speak.

Revelation 16:4 Then the third angel poured out his bowl on the rivers and the springs of water, and they turned into blood.

theres plenty more worldwide waters turning red just like it was prophesied thousands of years ago about the last days.. but i posted enough picture, i think you get the point, i hope. but probably not.

just another prophecy that happened / is happening as we speak about the last days... let me say that again, just another last day prophecy taking place right before our eyes.. 1 more time -- this is just another last days prophecy being fulfilled this very second.

shall i continue? or will you continue stubbornly in your disbelief.

no you cant believe both God and evolution. those are contradicting beliefs if you believe both. if you claim to believe both, then that means you dont know God (His written Word) well enough.

and i speak in absolutes because GOD IS absolute! amen.

lol im looking at the pictures of the "blood water" and my daughter lays on my lap and looks at it and says, "ugh what is that? is that blood?" lol the spirit of the Lord is here, God is in our DNA. thats how we know right from wrong! we have intelligence because we came from intelligence! it takes intelligence to create intelligence!

whos ready to see Jesus? Because that time is approaching quickly.

Can you set us some sort of deadline about when this particular end times prediction will become true? I'm a Christian, but I've been hearing these kinds of predictions from other Christians who claim to have the inside scoop for decades now. And there have been similar predictions being made going back almost two thousand years. And they've all been wrong, despite the fact that they've been made from good, honest Christians.
