Here's a legitimate question for you... no attacks. How can the bible be the word of god? The bible was written, translated, and passed down for thousands of years by HUMANS. Humans... with vain desires and inherent sins built into us. Humans who could have modified, ommitted, or mis-translated texts over the years. When you were a kid, did you ever play the game where you whisper a phrase or story down a line and once it reaches the end, it almost always is at least slightly changed?

Further, what makes you think your specific interpretation of that book that was written by HUMANS is the correct one? Isn't that, as a lowly human created by god, in and of itself vain? Arrogant even? Here's a spiritual power that created all of existence and you think you can even begin to know exactly, without a doubt, what his wishes are?

I'm not questioning the existence of a god. I'm not even questioning Jesus. I am questioning that we, as tiny human beings can even begin to understand what exactly god's true wishes for us are.

Are you saying the bodies of men were possessed by the spirit of God and forced to write these things? How do you verify something like that? There's a homeless guy holding a cardboard sign claiming he is God. How come people treat him like he is full of shit? Surely it is the spirit of God coursing through his physical body...

there are christian scientists. but those scientists are christians 1st. and they are scientists. those scientists are just scientific within Gods word. those scientists will tell you God made science. just look at the universe. look at our body. look at nature in general. everything that science embraces, GOD made. except mainstream science likes to take God out of the picture, for sinister reasons. those christian scientists will tell you God created the entire universe in 6 days and rested on the 7th. that God made Adam, and will tell you then made Eve from his rib. there are plenty of christian scientists. not sure what you are trying to say.

and it is not a "scientist" belief that we came from apes. thats a atheist scientist. its just the main stream science adopted the atheist theory of evolution and spread it all across the world.

So, basically, if we believe in science, we are an atheist? Hasn't been proven already that we evolved from apes over time?

With all that said, I likely believe in most of the morals and principals that you do but I don't believe in them because they came from The Bible, and I don't interpret The Bible literally either. In fact, I don't believe about 90% of the OId Testament, though I do believe a great deal of the New Testament minus the miracles.

Can you tell me what you do believe about the New Testament? Also why do you believe those things, but exclude the miracles?
