That's what we disagree on...I think they could get him re-signed. I just don't think they'll take their chances on it.

Well, yeah, if Grienke is willing to agree to an extension before he is dealt, great.... but I just don't see that happening. I just don't see why a. he would agree to give up any of his FA years just yet and b. why the Indians should be so eager to extend him after two solid years with one great year in between.

Just taking a cursory look around the league, I think trying for Matt Garza may be a better gamble. Could conceivably cost less in prospects as TB looks to dump salary. Just one guy I think has the 'stuff', attitude and situation to take that step forward to being a FOR guy.
