All-star selection for this "One Trick Pony" according to the talent expert Tornicade.
3 of his 9 shots made were back to the basket of the dribble.Impressed with his post game: Thompson had no chance against him in the block.
With his FT shooting though in any critical game, I would foul the shit out of him as soon as you get close the penalty until the 2 minute mark. He's got to get those FT percentage even just marginally higher
3 of his 9 shots made were back to the basket of the dribble.
He was 4-8 on post ups going 2-4 against both Mozgov and Thompson respectively. Which was a good night for him.
Drummond ranks in the 29th percentile in post up plays.
.77 points per play with a 40% fg percentage.
Which equates to a 33% scoring frequency on post up plays.
Still 23% of his offense is putbacks.
This is absolutely Wretched for someone who is supposed to carry the load.
Drummond still has a long way to go offensively.
Drummond posting up is just as likely to turn the ball over (8.4%) as he is to draw a foul (9.4)
Drummond Play type Frequency
Ppst ups 28.6% Performance rank 29.9
Putbacks 23.1% Rank 56.6 ( Drummond leads the league by almost double in putback attempts. his percentile rank correlates with his under 60% EFG)
Miscellaneous 13.5% Rank 41.2
Roll Man 12.3% Rank 79.6
Cuts 11.4% Rank 29.2
One Trick Pony.
Defensive Breakdown by Play Type
Post Up- 25.9 Rank
Roll Man 29.9 rank
Spot up 58.2 Rank
As far as a rim protector teams are shooting 52% or more against him and is the only one on the pistons with more than 5 defenses a game. Whereas Cleveland has 3 and all of them have lower percentages allowed.
Out of all the players with 9 or more defended FGA at the rim a game.Only Drummond allows the opponent over 50% .
Everything in the Andre Drummond thread is a waste of timeJust by virtue of the fact that I have posted over 9 fajillion times on this board, far be it for me to criticize someone else for wasting their time.
But with that said...what a giant waste of time that was.
That and if the Pistons are in a tight game in the playoffs he won't be on the court until the last two minutes because teams will send him to the free throw line relentlessly. He's amazing at lobs, but let's not kid our selfs, you can't give him the ball and expect him to score for you.
[emoji51] lol its ok to admit Drummond is a good player. Really the problem with the guy is the FTS just screw up how you can use him.3 of his 9 shots made were back to the basket of the dribble.

Admit? Never said he was bad player. Ive always maintained he is limited offensively and overrated on defense and will take a long time to develop into that franchise players wants him to be...[emoji51] lol its ok to admit Drummond is a good player. A guy who is an elite rim protector, elite rebounder, and who can finish inside is not a one trick pony. He's an MVP caliber player IF he can fix the FTs. Shoot them underhand big man!
Well what matters for me is that Drummond is better than Waiters and that CG fucked that up big time.
He's got the 17th best rapm in the league and this is despite his atrocious ft shooting. That's remarkable. Hes playing with Reggie Jackson and not Chris Paul. Detroit is a solid playoff team who most people wouldn't be surprised if they get into the second round. Drummond is the number one reason for this if you don't include SVGAdmit? MVP caliber? That's a real stretch. He can be taken out or minimized in playoff games without even looking at his poor FT ability.
You can block him, and him out and play him one on one.
SVG is giving him every chance to develop his weakness but doing it isn't the same as excelling at it.
spencers trying to prove to me that Drummond is the greatest thing since sliced bread and an all star selection doesn't put him there.
people are always gonna put more weight on the "human highlight reel" because that one great play makes them forget the other 3 bad ones.
Drummond still has a lot of room to improve but he certainly isn't the old school center in the league of guys like David Robinson, Hakeem olajuwans etc that some make him out to be.
The thread set the expectation of all time great before he even set foot on the court not that he was a good player. right now he is a rich mans Kris Humphries.
I gave you a variety of stats you gave me one. Whose trolling whom? He's got the 17th best rapm in the league and this is despite his atrocious ft shooting. That's remarkable. Since big guys tend to develop later and hes so young I'm not sure where your getting Kris Humphries from with those kind of numbers. Talk about being so over the top to the point of trolling
