Cavs summer league team

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
I actually think this ending to summer league might be the best to keep Sexton hungry. I can see Sexton spending the next 2.5 months making sure when he is in a position to win a game like that, that he will. I'm not saying he wasn't going to be motivated before, you can tell that he is always going to be motivated but this just gives him that little extra to keep him going in the coming months.

I hope the front office gets a good group of guys to fight for that last 3 roster spots and 2 way contract. Guys that will be in Cleveland Clinic Courts every day with Sexton and the other young guys. I want a Delly type PG to go up against Sexton and enough guys so they can go 5-on-5 for the next 2.5 months.

I know a lot of people think delly really does not do much for us at this point but I would love him back just to get into sextons space at practice and mentor during games. I know we pick up a year in contract, but if we can get delly and another young player or pick out of them I would move someone like korver or JR(lol)

I would love Delly back but before I give up that flexibility by trading for him, I would give Aaron Craft a camp invite. He has improved his 3 point shot and will be that pesky defender just like Delly.

I can’t wait to see how much Sexton improves from now until the season, let alone by the end of Year 1. Kid is a freaking worker, already putting on muscle and the heart of a lion.

Trust me, I totally understand why we probably should tank. But good luck telling guys like Cedi-Zizic-Sexton that who only know how to give 110%.

Someone needs to be fired over this loss. Unacceptable. Lue should be the fall guy.
Posey..he never challenged the missed called that gave the Fakers the ball..but the captain is responsible for his crew..fire Lue also..

Lakers phasing their rookie PG out of the summer league rotation to focus on winning is all-time meme status IMO. They're building a summer league dynasty! :chuckle:

I really like Posey as a person. He seems really chill and genuine. Should have challenged that call though.

Are all reviews by coaches challenge only in summer league? Was surprised that the refs didn't go to the monitor when they were clearly unsure about what happened.

I dunno actually. Sexton actually signaled for the refs or whomever to review the call. For some reason we didn't follow through with it. Sexton also didn't really really confronted the ref face to face. That was clear as day that it hit a Laker.

Yeah, ref had a bad angle on the play for sure...100% would've been reviewed under regular-season NBA rules, but I guess they're using summer league as a testing ground to experiment with creative new ways to screw the Cavs :chuckle:

And help the Lakers. Over/Under Lebron averaging 10 FT a game as a Laker?

Over, for sure. The NBA and the media will basically hand LBJ the MVP award this year. If LBJ starts getting the calls he deserves, he'll average ridiculous stats and gobble up a ton of regular season wins.

And then...get booted early in the WC playoffs lol

Honestly I'm half expecting him to punt on this season. Lakers start off 2-8, Lebron goes down with "knee soreness" for 20 games and they're 6-23 when he returns. He says a bunch of nice words about how they have a lot of young guys learning to fit together, how it's a new experience being on a young rebuilding team, etc etc and they coast to a 30-52 record. Then, next summer they try again with their reload. I don't think he's going to kill himself trying to drag a shit roster to the playoffs in the West. That's not why he went to LA.

That sounds really bad for his legacy...

I think he's too old to take a year off. It's VERY hard to maintain the level he showed last year, but it's EVEN HARDER to take time off and then return to it the following year since he's in his mid-30s now.

No one beats Father Time. No one.
