Not Ashamed to Admit We Were Wrong on...

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
Russell Wilson for sure. I thought he was too short and just a game manager in college. I was hating on him his first few years in the NFL saying he was overrated and was just a slightly better version of Alex Smith. He was carried by Lynch and a great defense. I didn't believe he single handedly could win games. Those takes did not age well.

Jury is still out:

Pat Mahomes: I didn't think he would be terrible, but I also thought some people were overhyping him. I definitely did not see him being this good, however I say the jury is still out, because a lot can change in the NFL. We have seen a lot of players tear it up for a year or 2, but then completely fall off the map.

Carson Wentz: Definitely looked like we missed out big time last year and I was about to admit i was wrong, but this year has made me pump the brakes. I am also trying to be fair, because he is coming off his injury.

I am shocked at what Mahomes was doing. I thought it would take him 3 years and eventually he would develop into a gunslinger QB. Could single handily win you a game or lose you a game, but good enough to stick around. Still could do that but right now is it impressive.

Wentz still has a bunch of question marks. Still has had a lot more success than i ever thought he would have, but after the injury it throws him back several steps.

I have both on my dynasty fantasy league. I wont trade either, because im terrified one is going to suddenly fall off a cliff

I legitimately celebrated like we won the Super Bowl when the Browns drafted Brady Quinn and came way too close to buying one of those t-shirts with his face on it.

Manziel had little NFL talent

I hate when Manziel supporters do this. They make it sound like everything was all because of his partying and that’s the only thing that held him back from greatness. He also was total dogshit as a QB and it wasn’t just because he was a partier
Where did I say Manziel would have been great? All I said was he couldn't keep his head on straight, which was easily his biggest flaw. In terms of his talent.. He had it. He needed some coaching, and a ton of hard work.. But the talent was there for him to be something at this level.

I don't really see that being debatable, either.

Mohamed Massaquoi. Remember that Bengals game his rookie year when he had like 10 catches for 150 yards? Mohamed doesn't, because of all the concussions. But after that game, I thought he would become a legitimate #1 receiver.

Adimchinobe Echemandu tho

I really wanted Madre Hill and Ben Gay to be good.

MOTHER!

I remember being at a browns ravens game with my dad and Gay was playing. I was talking him up and Gay loses like 12 yards or some ridiculous on a run because he ran backwards. Dad looks over at me "how good was this guy supposed to be"

Shut your mouth about the future GOAT QB.

I was completely wrong on wentz. HATED him and thought he would be a bust.
I'd like to think I made it back by loving Mahomes.

I found an article that listed the 25 biggest busts over the last 15 years, 4 of them were browns or 16%.

Wow we have been bad. And if you are curious, the 4 were:

Trent Richardson
Barkevious Mingo
Justin Gilbert
Johnny Football

Corey Coleman not being on that list is mind blowing. When was the article written?
