No, er, hell no! Give up $40 million in cap space for four years in exchange for a draft pick that might not even be in the lottery? Wall is toast. He blew out his Achilles today and won't play a minute until the '20-'21 season, if then.

Yeah the contract is too long. We would need Beal too. No way they do that. Wall is untradeable for 2 years
 
Burks for Knight and a first is probably a good move this year. There are guys at the end of the 1st round who are probably going to be pretty good.

Knight's on the Rockets? Yeah. Hell yeah, actually. Anything that might help a team that could cause the Worriers problems.

Almost everyone thinks he will be traded between the draft and free agency. Nobody wants him. He just cemented himself as a drama problem.

Lloyd is reporting the deal is shaping up to be Knight and Houston's first plus two seconds for Burks. They don't have a 2nd this year, but they have Memphis' 2020 pick.

I could see the deal being for this year's first, the Memphis 2020, and Houston's 2021 2nd.

If Memphis unloads Conley and Gasol, the 2020 could be fairly high in the 2nd.

You sure about the additional second round picks? I don't subscribe to the athletic but the two paragraphs that are free just say Knight plus a 1st. It then goes on to talk about how we aquired Burks and got two second round picks with him for Korver.
 
Yeah wow 2 2nds and a 1st for Burks would have me skipping. Seems unlikely.

Burks really has played pretty well. Not 3 picks well lol

If I'm Koby I'd still be working the phones on Burks. If they can get a 1st round pick and a bad contract for Burks somewhere else, I have to think Houston will engage on a Knight+1st round pick for JR plus a second round pick. We have a bunch of second round picks, getting one to turn to a 1st in this year's draft would help the rebuild.
 
If the trade goes through with just a 1st, it would mean we got Korver for a 1st, 2 2nds (possibly 3 to 4 2nds) and bad enough over this and next year to only surrender a 2nd.
 
Looks like the Arec Burks trade for a 1st round pick will happen. I like.
