2018-2019 Tank Thread

Do Not Sell My Personal Information

These are the type of deals we need to be in on. Full hinkie.

I agree. I'm down to take on Knight and see if he can rehab his way to being his old self. The one thing though is I would want him to take on the role Clarkson currently has. Cash in Clarkson for whatever we can get and move on. Knight could get us a return similar at the deadline next year to what Sessions did in 2013.

I've been totally aboard the "Knight and 1st round pick" train.

That said, I couldn't stomach watching Knight after being spoiled with Kyrie. I mean...

Remember that a Rockets first rounder is likely going to be in the bottom eight of the first round. You might luck into a Larry Nance Jr. type player, but you are more likely looking at a fringe player

That's true but it's always easier to move down in the draft like how we got Cedi then to try to hope we can move up like we got Zeller. Plus the fall off of second round picks are harsh. You might be able to get a good player at 31-35 but after that only a couple guys every year from 36-60 ever make an impact.

This team is not going to ever be a NBA title contender in my lifetime the ownership is so terrible.

Second time recently I've seen anti-Dan posts get dunked on, and there are reasons for that.

As I've said, the tradeoff of everyone who wants Gilbert to sell getting their wish, is that we will go from an essentially 0 chance of the team moving to Seattle to a greater chance.

Has to tell you something, as well, that Gilbert has been willing to be left holding the bag after both LeBron departures, despite enormous valuation losses.

Agreed, from 2004 through 2010 we were a good team averaging 54.4 wins per season. then from 2014-2018, we were Great, winning 1 ship, while basically sweeping through the east.
Dan Gilbert has his flaws, but there are MUCH worse owners out there just ask the knicks. Dan basically put his money where his mouth is, and brought this city its first championship since the stone age.
Beyond that he invested in this "small market" city, so we know our team isn't leaving anytime soon. And for those who say he luck into lebron, I ask how much of the warriors success boils down to
pure luck?

By all means, I hope he does sell to someone who will move the team. They have nothing but a sordid history. All anyone will remember them for is the asshole who left them high and dry twice. Fuck that.

We better sit everyone on tuesday that we have had a discuss to potentially trade.

We better see Kobi Simmons, Adel, and Blossomgame getting heavy minutes on Tuesday.

That's the same kind of garbage that some "fans" said about the Cavs at various times before the Championship season, before the 2004-2010 run, and even before the Price/Daugherty/Nance days. And if they'd have gotten their wish then, we wouldn't have seen any of those teams, or our Finals appearances, or the Championship.

If you hate the franchise that much and want them to leave, why do you even bother posting here?

Pretty harsh. Tell me how you feel about all the other 1 championship franchises: Wizards, Hawks (while in Stl), Kings (while in Rochester), Thunder (in Seattle), Blazers, Bucks, & Mavericks. Then dig deeper and tell me how you feel about all the teams that never won a title: Brooklyn, Charlotte, Denver, Indianapolis, Memphis, Clippers, New Orleans, Orlando, Phoenix, Minnesota, Toronto & Utah.

You could argue that only the Pacers & Jazz have been better run than the Cavs over their course of history.

I really don't like calling people out, but hoping for the team to move is the shittiest take I've ever read on this board. Even worse than all of Eli's Eyes posts combined.

Woof. I may have had a few too many last night. I’d disagree with my own post if I was allowed :chuckle:
