2019 Browns Rant Thread

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
If you jump into the opposing team's crowd, then IMO all bets are off and you get what you deserved. Anyone with common sense knows you're asking for trouble if you do it.

It's a dumb thing to complain about. If a fan goes on the field, they spend a night in jail. Players don't belong in the stands. So don't do stupid shit.

Just so we’re all clear, I don’t care if he taunts fans.

Don’t throw shit at them, don’t attack them. Just stick up your finger back at him, say “fuck you,” call it a day.

Anything else, and you’re being an asshole.

Period.

Because he knew exactly what he was doing and was willing to suffer the consequences.

Ryan is being an ignorant asshole and then trying to play some fake victim card

It’s pathetic

There is something that rubs me the wrong way about that franchise.

Myles Garrett isn't the type of guy to lose his cool. I highly suspect that he was baited into it by dirty play and trash talk.

Delanie Walker has a reputation for it as well.

Also what the fuck happened to Vrabel? I remember him being a relatively chill guy at OSU, The Patriots, and again at OSU.

I think it is easy to argue that, a) a fan dumping beer on a player is a total asshole move and pretty pathetic; but b) if a player jumps into the opposing team’s stands they should think getting beer poured on their head is a possibility.

Pretty sure if I jumped into a random fans seat, I’d likely end up with beer on me. And I’m supposed to be in the stand.

The player is intruding the fan’s space that he is entitled to. It really shouldn’t be difficult for players to stay on the field. Again, this should be a league rule. It is in other leagues.

I find it real difficult to fault the fan in this situation. Had the roles been reversed, the player would be celebrated for harming a fan that ran on the field. That fan would also be in jail, charged with a crime and fined.

Ryan is not the victim here. He is the perpetrator. This is 100% on him.

Not defending the actions of people that throw stuff at players.

I think its pretty fucked up to throw shit at people. But he isn't very bright, if he really didn't expect such a reaction.

Most the fans are probably drunk, and when drunk you don't always act like you should, especially when you're team is losing and tempers are hot.

He jumped in there to be an asshole, so I don't have any sympathies for him.

Exactly, its just ridiculous to cry foul over it. Like, what did he seriously expect? Lol..

Not defending the actions of people that do that stuff.

Not going to cry any tears for a guy who got some
Beer poured on his jersey. It’s a fucking football game.

Nobody wants you to cry tears.

Just requesting basic human decency as you would during basically any other aspect of human life.

Like, imagine some dude coming to solicit at your office, and then people just start pouring beers on him when he steps in the lobby.

It’s wild how fans think they can treat athletes.

I’m just not convinced it’s the same.

It certainly isn’t classy or anything but... it just doesn’t register on the give a fuck ometer. I’d feel way different if he had not leaped into the stands to taunt the fans or if something dangerous had been done to him.

I see both sides though so not worth the breath. One of those things you’ll feel one way or another about.

SEE. I TOLD YOU. THEY MADE A MISTAKE BY NOT DRAFTING THESE GUYS. SEE. I TOLD YOU.

Why is the media in this town so fucking pathetic?

I don’t disagree with the statement but it’s a poor spot to bring it up in. Bakers story has hardly begun and shows great promise.
