2019 Browns Rant Thread

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
Not personally. So let’s not exaggerate what happened to try and defend the defenseless.

Or, in your case, pretending that you’re going to “do more” if he “steps into your bubble.”

:chuckle::chuckle:
Agreed but can we also not exaggerate what happened to him? He got a beer dumped on him... ok and... not the first time it's happened wont be the last.

I'm not a doctor but I think hell be ok and play next week.

Make no mistake it's still an asshole move to dump the beer... but dont cry about it either.

Him being fine or uninsured isn’t his point, or mine.

But as you said, it’s an asshole move. That’s his point, and mine.

Fans need to be held accountable. Just don’t do it.

I hate the Cleveland media, a lot. Fucking losers.

It's such a losers mentality.

The reactions during the game were whining about how bad the loss was, how we were all rubes, they were right, and how they wish they had Vrabel, etc.

they never change. I remember similar whining in the 2000s when the Steelers were in Super Bowls from the canton rep.

fucking pathetic.
jesus christ. No wonder the national media takes shots at the city and the fanbase.

it's very much a "cleveland"-thing. Having lived in Oklahoma? I don't see reporters covering the Cowboys, and Sooners going "MAN I WISH WE HAD DABO SWINNEY AND TUA". I mean one of the sports talk guys had to explain to some rando calling in that "Hey. Lincoln riley ain't leaving us for another job unless it' the NFL the other day.

When you make an asshole move... expect an asshole move in return? I guess?

Taunting or no taunting, dumping a beer on someone is just petty and stupid. They're there to entertain us, not to take abuse from drunk idiots.

Even pro wrestling has higher standards now than this lmao

That guy makes 10 million dollars a year, and I'm sure didn't expect somebody who makes $40,000 to 80,000 a year to dump a beer on him and get away with it unplussed.

But...

He took a big risk considering there were two Titans fans there on the road.

I hope the NFL reminds him of that, but I maintain my stance that it is the 21st century, and we are all aware of the law. If we are not, we technically as fans shouldn't be surprised that shoving a player or dumping a beer on a player is punishable. My ass doesn't make the rules.

Nobody wants you to cry tears.

Just requesting basic human decency as you would during basically any other aspect of human life.

Like, imagine some dude coming to solicit at your office, and then people just start pouring beers on him when he steps in the lobby.

It’s wild how fans think they can treat athletes.
What an awful comparison. Do better.

The Browns playoff chances per FiveThirtyEight have fallen from 46% to 20% with that loss on Sunday. Of course, their model takes record and point diff, etc into account, so the Kitchen Fire on Sunday may have made their model overreact, but still.

Monday can't get here fast enough. These guys need to come out like the season is on the line, which it may be. I'm starting Baker again in fantasy even after the egg he laid, because I believe he is the one. Please be the one Baker. I'm pushing all in.

Huge game for Freddie too. If we lose, his seat is already gonna be hot.

The more rules you add each year the harder it is to officiate. No putting your head to imitate contact even if you are blocking is something that could be called 10 to 15 times randomally if they wanted to alone. Now you can’t double team a defender a certain way as an o lineman? Also have to be careful that you don’t land on the qb even if the hit is legal. Every year a new rule or two is added and the game speed is not slowing down. They need to simplify the rule book.

BTW on the beer thing....

If you jump into the opposing stands, you are asking for a beer shower. If you didn't expect it, get your head examined. A little beer spray is in good fun. Happens after you win a damn championship too so relax and embrace it if you make the leap.

Now, had the guy thrown a punch, different story. But anyone who has their panties in a bunch and thinks this is some low class move, drop the holier than thou schtick. Guy in full armor runs into the crowd and is whining about beer? Get a life pal.

The amount of money he makes is completely irrelevant to the discussion.
