2019 Browns Rant Thread

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
So why even attempt to make a shitty comparisons then? Honestly, what rights do the players have in jumping in the stands? What was the purpose of it?

To celebrate with the Titans fan whom he jumped up to see.

Never looked at the douchebag tossing beer on him, never taunted him. Nothing.

Dude was in the wrong, and should face consequences.

They don’t. It is against the rules. This goes back to living above the law. Either players want to be treated like normal people, or they don’t. Make a choice.

At a minimum, he should be fined and should have been penalized. A player jumping into the opposing team’s stands is asinine behavior that should not be tolerated.

Ryan, the player bitching, wasn’t anywhere NEAR the Titans fan. He jumped right in front of the Browns fan and swung his arm in the fan’s direction.

Always helps to watch the video.

Sure does, the fan was actively attacking and attempting to incite Ryan's teammates by pouring beer on them, while they were not taunting anyone at all.

Ryan's point is that the fan will face no accountability, promoting that type of behavior, while he will potentially face accountability himself.

It's patently absurd.

Enough of this conversation. Everyone has their opinion on the matter and no one is going to have their mind changed. There hasn't been a unique take on the situation in the last couple pages. (Except @The Oi 's, I guess)

It's a matter of opinion. Period. No one died, let's move the fuck on.

Why the fuck are we still talking about Logan Ryan's feelings? JFC. Guy encroached in the booze-infested stands. I haven't heard @AZ_ go to bat for a Browns player like this since... well, since ever.

Like, imagine some dude coming to solicit at your office, and then people just start pouring beers on him when he steps in the lobby.

When I imagine that, the people pouring the beer are drunk chicks in bikinis. That unfortunate guy might end up getting arrested for attempted solicitation.

If someone came into my place of work uninvited, we'd call the cops

Hey thanks brother.

This really works out bc now nobody even knows what my opinion is. @SuperSurge

Moving on and back to this:

The ball was clearly catchable
Eh... Even if he wasn't knocked down, I'm not sure he's catching up to that ball. He was knocked down at the 25 and the ball landed at the 8 around 2 seconds after contact.

It looked more like an incorrect route by the receiver. Was he heading toward the sideline for an out route?

Really bizarre argument going on here, seems like arguing just to argue. But whatever floats peoples' boats....
Back to the game...

Was this game worst-case scenario? Because that is what it felt like. I really hope it was just rust related to the 1st team not playing in preseason- but then it makes me question the coach when a central belief of his backfires so spectacularly. Could the offense really be rusty after how well that 1st drive went? Were they simply outcoached? Why did the team look tired in the 2nd half? Hopefully the next game can dissipate some of this but geez, this game really left me with some serious concerns beyond the known problem areas (offensive line, kicking game, safeties).

He got blown up during the route. Mathematically it was found that he could have caught it.

New number 1 receiver, new right guard, new #2 RB, a slew of new faces on defense, new offensive coordinator, new defensive coordinator, and a new head coach.
Your QB and RB are in their second seasons and you still - by all accounts - have one of the youngest rosters in the NFL.

Combine all of this with the lack of live snaps in the preseason, I think we were all naive to think this team was going to fire on all cylinders. There will be growing pains.

This isn't New England or New Orleans who have tenured QBs/head coaches and little roster turnover.

It's going to take weeks to gel. But once they do, they are going to be dangerous. Mark my words.

They've been punched in the mouth. Their response is going to say a lot about this team.

This has happened before at other stadiums (patriots) and the guy was kicked out for life and charged with a misdemeanor.

Look, its not the crime of the century, but yes its a crime and it is classless to dump a beer on a player.

No to jump into the stands at another teams field is dumb and classless, but not a crime. Pretty simple

Not sure we still need to be discussing, but not saying its a crime or wrong to sump a beer on someone for no reason? Come on now, you know its wrong.
