Nick Bosa's Buckeyes went into Norman the year before and punked Mayfield, but there was no douchery flag-planting after the game. I'm a Browns' fan, but I loved the flag plant celebration by Bosa.
 
Baker is the biggest problem with the offense right now. Let’s face it, this team will go as far as Mayfield will take them.

He needs to get his accuracy back. Nothing else matters until that’s fixed.

On topic: Baker looked indecisive and fairly frantic last night. I hate to say it, but it felt like he was the one holding the offense back last night. The line didn't help much, but he made some mistakes that should be easy to avoid.

This is correct. Sherman is saying Baker refuses to shake hands before the game.

Like it or not, Baker is bringing all this heat on himself and everybody wants a piece of him.
 
What has Baker done that he doesn't deserve to be on the hot seat? If he keeps playing like shit he deserves to be benched just like any other player on this team. If we're 2-5 you have to consider seeing what Gilbert has.

He should be on the hot seat. Hes been the worst player on offense.

But if they bench him for Garrett Fucking Gilbert then fire everyone involved in that decision making process.

No you don’t. He has nothing. This is our first overall pick who last year set the all time rookie record for passing touchdowns. We haven’t had that type of promise in forever. And you want to bench him for garret fucking gilbert for 3 bad games.

edit: excuse me, I mean “possibility.” Feel like it was just accepted Baker was our FQB and savior.

Still a lot of football to play this season, but even if he doesn’t turn it around this year while at that point I’ll be borderline panicked he can still work in the offseason to get better and come back with a redemption tour year 3 with hopefully a better line (not blaming it all on the line but it’d make life a lot easier)

He’s got all the tools and he’s a hard worker. Plus if he keeps this up everyone is going to count him out which is more like what the rest of his life has been instead of everyone blowing him like they did all offseason

Yeah. True. I’ll be borderline panicked like you though.

We all loved Baker’s schtick when we were winning. It’s embarrassing as fuck though when we’re losing like this and we are getting clowned the fuck on and dudes are getting back on feuds from college games and citing your pregame disrespect... like, FUCK. Hurts as bad as 0-16.
 
I can't think of a situation in the NFL in which a QB played as well as Baker did as a rookie and then didn't amount to anything afterward for any reason other than injuries or maybe off-the-field problems. Flash-in-the-pans happen in baseball but generally not in football, at least not at the QB position. I won't dispute that he's been lousy so far this season, but long term Baker will be fine. We all know he can play because we've seen it. For the time being we just need to ride out this shitshow for as long as it lasts.
