he still sucks for a #5 overall pick.
but taking & making some 3 point shots with Hill and others laying back must be great for his confidence he can get that shot off when it matters.
your homerism was starving for some water to wash down the crow you've been eating all season on this fringe bust player.
i am a Cavs fan not a homer, and i will scrutinize these hyped kids until they produce all i damn well please.
it was 1 game , now lets see how he does going forward. the best part for me is if youre right we both win, if im right we both lose but it will hurt you a lot more than it hurts me lol. move the chair

You are a disgrace as a fan. I won't add more.

He's looking more in shape. I think he is just getting his legs. Taking much better shots. I loved the mid range shots he took. Looked automatic

Man weren't you just calling Kevin Love a pussy like three days ago?

I said he was playing like a pussy, and he was. There is a difference between criticizing players for lack of effort and actively wishing your draft picks fail cause you painted some picture in your head.
But let's not get into it Rich.

I would have liked to see Garland try to be more aggressive in the 4th quarter and win the game last night. With how well he was shooting, just taking 1 shot in the 4th quarter was disappointing.

I think it's important for Sexton and Garland to try to learn how to close out a game. They need to find plays and solid ways to score in crunch time, that I don't think any of the vets on this roster possess.

How does a rookie first round draft pick come to camp soft and out of shape? I will never understand that about professional athletes.

Gotta say his uppper body looked kind of flabby

Some guys just look bigger. See Kyle Lowry who has always looked kinda chunky. Doesn't really mean much he hasn't looked nearly as chunky as guys like Ray Felton or Jameer Nelson.

I wouldn't say flabby, but he was huffing and puffing a lot just few games ago. I'm not surprised he wasn't in game shape. I think looking at how good his shot has looked the last few games that his conditioning was a big reason his shot wasn't falling

Homerish? I don't care for the Hawks one way or the other. I have zero problems with Trae Young. Hes an elite chucker. I could care less about true shooting %. All it really means is he can hit free throws. Your not gonna tell me 35% from three on 8+ threes a game is an efficient scoring method. He's hoisting up threes pretending to be Steph. He can get inside but doesn't.

Comparing him to probably the greatest shooter ever, makes no sense. Actually, in today's game you should be taking more threes, especially if you're a guard. The numbers suggest you should. 35% isn't elite by any means, but hardly horrendous.

The dude is averaging 28 a game, and doing it pretty efficiently. His eFG% is 52%.

And he's not some elite chucker. The offense is good when he's on the floor. He's terrible defensively, but offensively he's the real deal.

Using such a high measuring stick of Steph makes no sense. What are we arguing here? Is he a bust? Hell, no, he's not.

He's not an efficient player. Hes no where near Steph or Nash the two most prominent players he's compared too. He doesn't take smart shots and turns it over a ton. He's stuffing the stat sheet because his team sucks. He's not a winning player and he will never be a winning player. So yes he's a bust. His team traded Doncic for him. Might end up being the worst trade in NBA history.

George Hill for Kawhi was pretty bad
