Just read the replies under Meisel's original Kluber/option tweet.

At least half, if not more, were saying how dumb of a move it was.

LA is trying to emulate the Tampa Bay Rays template. They literally have the guy who turned the Rays into what they are as the GM.
 
Clase looks electric and really promising but the return is pretty underwhelming to me for a starting pitcher of Corey Kluber's caliber. I suppose DeSheilds is an upgrade to Greg Allen

Oh well, trust in the FO to know what they're doing
 
why would they want DeShields?? they have Allen, Mercado, and Zimmer who pretty well do the same thing--play cf and not hit very good. Can the kid play 2b?
 
On one hand, I understand not caring about a billionaire’s bank account.

On the other, I also don’t care how low the payroll is as long as we are putting a good team on the field, which we undoubtably are.

Honestly, I think there are a lot of people who would be much happier if we had the exact same team we do now, but were paying each guy double his current salary.
 
There has to be something else. Why not wait till spring to show his stuff? If salary dump, didnt they know back in Oct what they know now in rehab?

Clase is interesting but supposedly had makeup issues that dont align necessarily to closer/backend duty.

Outfield had a bunch of 4th/5th outfielders... who does he replace? Or just salary dump...

Angels said price waz too high? Really?
 
Spoiler alert, Indians fans are going to endlessly complain about every single move they make while invoking their personal angst toward the Dolan family.

The Indians, however, likely win 90+ games again and compete for the World Series while the same people convince themselves that each of the Browns moves will unlock their greatness.

With the Rangers, DeSheilds played 3 innings at 2B vs. nearly 4000 in the OF. I wouldn't expect to see him in the IF

Do you have a link clase’s make up issues. Have read that nowhere. You realize he is 21
And how good indians are developing pitchers. He will contribute this year. And ours for 6 years
