Free agency has changed in major league baseball in the past three years. It's no longer a race to get the most talent. With more front offices trying to do what the Indians have been doing for the past dozen or so years, there is going to be unsigned veteran talent up through spring training. There's just no reason to be all worked up in December about the roster. The best major league teams who aren't a major market like New York or New England are the teams with the best farm. I'm not too active in this Indians forum, but I'm watching the league closely... the Indians and As set the template that even bigger markets like LA and SF are trying to emulate.
