Ummmm that's pretty much what Lets Go Pikachu/Eevee was....
I mean aside from the major changes where they basically turned it into pokemon go on a system.

Yo, Destiny 2 is really good.
Is it worth picking back up? I put it down sometime last year (I think it was during the Season of the Drifter) and haven't picked it back up since. I had a clan that I ran with just about every day, but a lot of us stopped playing.
I’m not a returning player but rather a new one so probably not the best person to ask. But I really enjoy it. So much to do, almost too much.
Sounds like an improvement on the first game where there were about three things to do over and over again while Peter Dinklage collected a check to phone in one of the worst performances of all time. I know they eventually replaced him with Nolan North, but I'd checked out by then.
Found a private server for an old MMO called Warhammer Online: Age of Reckoning.
I used to play the shit out of this game. PVP focused MMO. Anyway, the private server is called Return to Reckoning and its free and there are a good solid number of people playing. Havinga lot of nostalgic fun.
Finished the main story of God of War. What a fantastic game that was. Some nice twists at the end, and the cliffhanger when you go back home after the credits roll sets up the next game nicely. I love the new Norse setting, and can't wait to see where the sequel takes Kratos and son.
My only real complaint is that there just aren't many meaningful boss fights in this one. I mean, there are plenty of boss fights, but most of them are basically just reskins of the same troll or Valkyrie with slightly different attack patterns. This is especially true when compared to God of War 3 where you were pretty much constantly wrecking other gods or other massive bosses. This game does have some really awesome set piece moments, but I would have preferred a few more duels with other gods. Literally the first big fight in the game is against the Stranger and sadly there are only a couple of other fights like that one in the entire game.
Overall, though, God of War was one of the best games I've ever played. It's absolutely massive, looks incredible, is fun to play even if Kratos turns sluggishly, and has some interesting puzzles at times. All in all, they did a fantastic job of bringing the series back and updating it with more mature storytelling and giving Kratos some much-needed depth as a character.
Not sure I'm going to attempt to do a lot of the optional end-game content, though. I'm kind of burnt out after the journey. This game was not short, and I did do most of the side content outside of Niflheim and killing all the Valkyries. And Niflheim really only exists to gear you up for fighting the Valkyries anyway.
Next up is either Control or Death Stranding. My PC hard drive died recently, so I'm PS4 only until I get around to replacing it.
Well, didn't have any of the Witcher games, and wanted to play the highly-recommended Witcher 3. Of course, being a completionist type, that means I have to play the prior two games in the series first. And I'll just say that I fucking hate the combat controls for Witcher. Combat controls should be intuitive, and these are the opposite- at least on the PC.
Suppose I have to slog on ahead since I have all three games...but I just wish Dying Light 2 would come out so I'd have an excuse to skip these games....
