BROWNS OFF-SEASON 2020

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
I would still take Trent Williams at the absolute right price.

Not sure if the right price is out there from a draft pick or contract extension perspective, but if it is, I’d certainly take him.

Seems like he ain't getting much interest.

How about a 1-Year/$8 million contract, with $4 in bonuses?

He's currently getting paid more than that, so I doubt that's in the realm of possibility.

Seems a bit high with what we already spent, does it assume we cut vernon and Hubbard, i mean no way Hubbard isnt cut eventually, but he hasnt been cut yet

maybe it’ll get lower as the signings become official?

The tweet you just sent out is actually after the cap space tweet. Also, I think the Browns already posted it about Hooper? That number must be right. Maybe because we signed so many damn people but all for low, 1 year deals it feels we should be lower?

This is spicy.
Typically I'm not a fan of agents and the stuff they put out is just garbage and spin.

But here, I agree 100% with him. The Redskins have had more than enough time to try and trade Williams. They didn't trade him last offseason. They didn't trade him during the season. They aren't trading him now. At some point, enough is enough. Either let him go for what teams are offering, or release him.

Fair point.
I don't care (unless the Browns can benefit), but l don't care what the Redskins do...however, why should they just release him without compensation?
Clearly the team decided to get as much for him as possible with no regard to whether he sits or plays. And why not?
Look at the NBA and the power the players have to control their trade destinations. Maybe that is a good thing as it IS their own destination, but the lack of respect to fulfill a signed contract pisses me off.
Maybe that makes me old, but l have no problem with a team expecting a player to play under contract, or with trying to get the highest value if trying to trade him.
