No thanks regarding tie in baseball.Just end the games in a tie after 11 innings.
I would rather they tie than having some games going 5+ hours which would delay the start of other games. You could end up starting the third game at after 10pm. This was going off the comment of playing all games in 5 domes. No thanks regarding tie in baseball.
Everyone seems aghast at placing a runner on base in extra innings but that was the procedure used in the minors last year.
Better to try an item already tested & tried.
I have to say the runner placement did create excitement and some of the extra innings ended after 1 inning. Others still went 13 or more innings (as both teams scored when given the chance).
I just don't see the point in limiting actual game action. No thanks regarding tie in baseball.

Because people stop caring when it's game #54 and it's 3am eastern.I just don't see the point in limiting actual game action.
The problem we need to remedy is the long periods of non-game action (mound visits, pitchers warming up, batters stepping out fo the box, time in between innings, etc).
If a game goes long because of extra innings, so be it. Why would any baseball fan want to watch less baseball?

The season would be better without those games.True fans are still watching so you better understand this!
The season would be better without those games.
They wreck bullpens, force starters to pitch, and nobody's even watching.
I'd be fine with regular season baseball being called a tie after 10 innings. Save the extra inning drama for the postseason. Nobody needs that shit thrown into an already-grueling 162 game schedule
I think they're cool, and I'm one of the night owls who will actually watch them.I sincerely enjoy the extra innings not going to lie. I am guessing though I am way more traditional with baseball than you are. I dont like a lot of changes they are making at all. I mean I don't want games sped up at all. I like long games since I just relax listening to them/watching them. This is a fast paced world so baseball to me is a way to unwind and relax.

The season would still be higher quality, and more enjoyable to more people, without them.
Just like automatic walks and pitch clocks... just like 162 games, a second wild card, a first wild card, three divisions instead of two, the DH, interleague play, replay reviews... if it happens, you'll get used to it.I almost feel the traditional baseball fans love extra innings while the newer generation wants the game sped up and quicker, but i watch even more closely when its extra innings so personally I don't want things to change that way.
I mean I get what you are saying, but having a runner start on base isn't cool and I will never watch extra innings at a pro game that way. Now I guess I could see a tie after like inning 14/15 type of thing since going that long is rare.
I like the game the way it is, I can deal with the automatic walk thing, pitch clocks, etc, but changing to robot umps or adding runners on base, limiting throws to first etc would be breakers for me. You don't want to anger your base who is there to begin with by doing too much to draw in bandwagon people
If he throws to second base with the runner not taking off from first, just call a balk. That will stop him.If they're allowed to throw to another base without considering that a pick off, then they would just do that repeatedly and say "I thought he was taking off".
That just makes it worse.
Baseball is entertainment and they've been doing things to make it more entertaining from almost the beginning. Night baseball so more people could attend games. Lowering the mound when the pitchers became too dominant. Juicing up the baseball. Adding a designated hitter. Replays on the jumbotron. And now...finding ways to reduce the down time between the action.I almost feel the traditional baseball fans love extra innings while the newer generation wants the game sped up and quicker, but i watch even more closely when its extra innings so personally I don't want things to change that way.
