For what it's worth, Rashard Higgins is very vocal about the Browns on twitter. Re-tweeted the Wills pick, tweeted back-and-forth with Wills, re-tweed photo of him in the new jerseys, still has Browns gear on in his Twitter profile pick/cover photo, etc. If him leaving was a foregone conclusion, I doubt he'd be this "pro-Browns". I'd love him back as WR3 at the right price.

I am not so sure I would be that Pro Browns if I were him. I wouldn't say anything negative, but to say positive stuff about our draft pick while being a UFA shows he really is a class act. Will never root against the guy unless he is playing against us, #respect

As someone whos known Jeff for 17 years, I am confident he didn’t make this up. I’m sure he got the info from someone he trusted and he definitely has connections.

I also think it’s highly likely that the Browns did have a trade for Trent lined up and they also have said they had options to move back. Once their top OT was on the board all of those moves were off.

With that said, Jeff does get a lot of things wrong, as do most “talking heads” around this time of year. Knowing him though, he didn’t just make that info up.
 
The Higgins situation is bizarre. I really hope they bring him back on a team friendly 1 year deal. He clearly wants to be here.

I thought Berry’s return would bode well for him, as he was drafted during the Sashi era. Hopefully they’re merely being prudent to see how the draft plays out first.

He's just one of those guys who is good at football, lack of athleticism (relative to his peers of course) be damned. I am fairly certain he'll be back after the draft. I'm sure a lot of teams are waiting to see how the draft plays out before they fill out their receiver rooms with whatever guys are left in free agency.

I want him back because Baker has had a level of comfort with him since Baker took over the starting QB job.
 
I can't remember what podcast it was (I think Civilized Barking), but it was mentioned that Berry & Co. met with Higgin's agent at the combine and they are open to bringing him back at the right price. I'm assuming Higgins is waiting to see what the market is after the draft shakes out.
