The "What are you playing now?" Thread

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
Really enjoying The Witcher so far, and RPGs arent really my thing. But I love a good story game.

Impossible not to like that game. Be sure to play the DLCs. It’s my #1 of all time still.

Games like Witcher 3 make me have no problem paying $70 for next gen games, or at least games of that caliber. Would I pay $70 for NBA 2k? No. Cyberpunk? Yes. Maybe they should adopt a tiered system of video game prices.

Anyone crying about $70 is too young to remember the price of SNES games.

I have a ps4 pro. Guess Im going to wait for the ps5 to buy any more games.

How much will Gamestop give me on trade in for the ps4 pro towards a ps5? $30? :chuckle:

If the ps5 is $500 I'm thinking about saying fuck the console and get a gaming rig for ~$1,000.

I usually just wait until games go on sale anyway for the most part. I make occasional exceptions like with Last of Us II where I feel like it would have been impossible to wait that long and not have the game spoiled for me. But games that are that purely story based are rare.

I never pay full price for anything. Ever lol

Any idea why the game automatically switches to my secondary weapon (axe) even when I’ve manually drawn out my sword?

Seems like it defaults to the secondary weapon constantly for some reason.

Based on the enemy type. Silver for monsters and steel for people. so dont think of it as a secondary more of a primary for certain type enemies.

You can use either type against any enemies, just have buffs against the correct enemy types.

Ahh, okay. Makes sense. Thanks!

I’m a couple hours in to Ghost and I’ve yet to play a single main story mission. Having a lot of fun exploring instead.

So tested out this pretty incredible bug/exploit in Total War WH 2. The Wood Elves get a tech that makes them immune to all attrition. Well, that includes attrition due to lack of funds. Soooooo, you can go as far in the hole as you want and keep your armies. You just gotta spend all of your money each turn to get anywhere. @Chris

For those who like Total War games you really should get into Warhammer when number 3 comes out. It's just incredibly, incredibly in-depth. Even if you don't like the fantasy stuff.

I've been hooked on TWW2 all summer, the mechanics, variety of units, and differences in combat between factions are just amazing. Do you guys play multiplayer? I haven't really dipped my toes into it, but I've been watching some of the combat vids and it's amazingly tactical.

This game is basically Assassin's Creed Odyssey but set in Japan, and I mean that in the best way possible.

Always thought the AC series really dropped the ball by never having an entry set in Japan, and this game definitely scratches that itch while integrating (read: stealing) all the same concepts that the Creed series did from Witcher III.

Plus it's absolutely gorgeous. I also love the standoff mechanic. I've been foregoing stealth simply because it's so much fun to call out a motherfucker and insta kill him. I've already unlocked the ability where you can kill two in a row that way. It's really satisfying when you get a leader that way.

Also really like the way there are no objective markers, but instead the wind leads you to where you want to go.

I don't, just have no interest in playing it competitively. But it is a phenomenal game. No idea where the third one is. It's way overdue at this point. I'd expect a reveal before year's end.
