Don't want to get too worried after 1 game, but definitely felt some RJ Barret vibes watching Cunningham. He can do it all, but can he do it with efficiency? Is he skilled enough with the ball to make up for the meh athleticism?
Somewhat surprised that Trayce Jackson-Davis is virtually nonexistent on draft boards. Seems like a very modern small-ball 5 type...long, athletic, had some huge games in a very impressive freshman season last year. Why don't people like him?

Tough crowd.
I think he lacks vertical athleticism to a degree but man, he moves exceptionally well side to side and changing speeds......and his length mitigates his vertical pop. Is he not potentially American Luka?
RJ’s problem was the compounding effects of him being a poor shooter, lacking creativity with the ball and also lacking court vision.
Cade isn’t an Uber athlete but he’s an improved shooter......off the catch and on the move, he has an exceptionally good handle for 6’8” and while a little reckless with the ball, has what looks like elite vision. He more strikes me as being the player people thought RJ would be. Will be interested to see how he develops.
Mentioned up thread but besides this being the opening game of the season, OK State is also basically an entirely brand new team of guys who have never played together. 5 freshman and 3 transfers. I suspect that as they gel a little bit more, Cade’s playmaking skills will shine brighter. Same with game speed, I’m guessing it take some games before getting to that full natural game speed and comfort. Overall seemed like a really great start to the season for him.
Exceptionally good handle? I think that's where he's a lot more Barrett than Luka. He just randomly lost control of his dribble a couple times I was watching him. Also has the Barrett thing where he lets the defense dictate and gets himself into awkward positions in traffic, in contrast to Luka who's always in the driver's seat.
I do grant that he seems to be a better shooter and a better passer than RJ, though.
I don't want to be that guy, but I think this is a draft to tank, and I hate this word, but....we can't try to reach he playoffs this year.
I agree. Thank god the PO mandate didn't go through.
Hopefully we'll see the guys improve and try but ultimately finish in the bottom 3 to get our legit n1 guy. Would really round out the roster.
What caught my attention was he was clapping every time a teammate made a play with encouragement even if it had nothing to do with him. You don’t see that at all with high level one and dones sometimes.Tough crowd.

I am actually looking forward in watching Clarke- Even though Boston Jr has more hype as a prospect I feel Clarke’s game has potential to be a superstar in the NBA and feel he can make more of a difference to the team.I also missed UK's pro day results:
Brandon Boston:
Height: 6'5.75" / 6'6.75"
Weight: 185
Wingspan: 6'11.5"
Reach: 8'6"
No Step: 30"
Max-Vert: 36.5"
Lane Agility: 11.03
3/4 Sprint: 3.36
Shuttle: 2.79
Boston has grown quite a bit in the last 2 years. I'm curious to see where he is at the NBA combine but those are already really strong measurements. Seeing as how he has room to add to his frame, those athleticism numbers are pretty encouraging as well.
Terrance Clarke:
Height: 6'5.75" / 6'6.75"
Weight: 194
Wingspan: 6'11.75"
Reach: 8'7"
No Step: 32"
Max-Vert: 38.5"
Lane Agility: 10.97
3/4 Sprint: 3.38
Shuttle: 2.72
Again, really good measurements for guys this young. Clarke is a guy I mentioned in the 2020 thread who I thought could be a riser as well. UK is going to be freakin loaded on the wing.
