Do you re-sign Andre Drummond? How much?

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
Still not seeing any evidence that he’s putting the team first. Was so refreshing watching Javale actually set a mean screen for an easy layup for Garland. Still havnt seen Drummond set a single hard screen, still either slips or avoids contact not a fan, also should never be posting up, dude should be playing d catching lobs

Led the team in shot attempts and turnovers.

But yeah, he’s totally buying in to a lesser role.

It’s not just that the Cavs looked better with McGee than Drummond, McGee looked like the better player period out there. It’s only 1 game, but still.

If Drummond played to his strengths 80% of the time instead of 50% of the time, he'd be a monster. He just can't help but make 5+ bonehead plays a game.

You would have thought Casey could have gotten through to him in Detroit, we'll see if JB has any luck, maybe McGee can help.

If I'm the coach, I tell him that for every 8 minutes of smart play, he gets one possession that he can do whatever he wants.

I thought Drummond played great!! The anti-Sexton anti-Drummond Cavs hive is kind of baffling to me. Drummond had 14 boards and looked very engaged to me. 4 assists!

Not sure why you lumped Sexton in with Drummond - Sexton had a very good game and Drummond didn't.

No way in hell he should be taking 18 shots per game. Only 14 points, and the big zero on free throw attempts tells you that he was trying to score like a guard instead of a center.

100% agree with this. Very well said.

Seeing him bring up the ball a few times last night and attempting his best Pete Marovich impersonation is frustrating to watch. There is no need for him to hoist 25 footers too. Play like the physical big man he is and that’s all this team needs.

That's what has been said about him since he entered the league.

Still hasn't sunk in though, so I'm not keeping my fingers crossed.

Getting Drummond to play even a slightly more defined more traditional center role will be the major challenge of this year for JB in my opinion.

I thought there was lots to like about his game including dominating the defensive and offensive boards, but his freelancing is a hindrance. He needs to get the ball to the guards immediately. Missed easy buckets with him holding the ball.

Worse than the 3 attempts were him slopping it up 6 feet from the basket not even looking at the rim and missing everything. Wasted possessions. His shot selection is non-existent. I literally don't mind the hooks or post ups. The on the move runners from him are absolute junk and I'd rather he take a jumper, which i don;t want him taking.

The problem with drummond is he has very good vision from the high post, but doesn't have the mid range shot when the defender slacks off him, or the dribbling skills when the defender sticks to him. He needs to develop the two in order for him to open up his game and be the "modern center" he thinks he is.

That being said, 3 years 50M is acceptable, or 2 years 40M... if he wants more, go for jarrett allen as someone already mentioned

5 years 100m would be my offer imo.

He’d be so much more useful if he would just buy-in to playing the role Dwight did on the Lakers last year.

Well if he was on a team with Lebron then he'd be playing like Dwight's new incarnation or otherwise he's benched or traded.
Ideally it would be the coaching staff or vet like Love trying to talk to him while doing the video recaps but not sure they have it in them to do so.

Maybe it's McGee? I did like having Tristan because you could credibly sub him for Drummond because he was a better perimeter defender, and a champion. He could have said that stuff to Dre. I don't think Love will.
