You can take your anger out on me, that’s cool.

We say the same thing, only one gets a response. Tough shit. Put me in block.

Im not a Cardinals fan over the Browns in any way shape or form. I live here, and root for them by proxy, and have said so multiple times.

Nor am I trolling. I’m the easy target today, doesn’t matter if anyone says the exact same shit.

LOL at anyone blaming Baker or the coaching staff right now. Get the fuck out of here with that shit. This team has maxed out their potential this season AND almost won with 3 OL guys out, 2 LBs, and our top FIVE WRs (dont forget about OBJ).

I'm looking at you @macbdog . I literally thought you were trolling most of the game before I realized you were serious! :chuckle:

Baker didn’t even look like he was going to get the first if he held on to the ball. Who is teaching this guy how to sneak? Why is he so vertical? A 60 years old Tom Brady converts those all the time and Baker‘s sneaks have about an 80% chance of disaster.

He would have had it, no doubt. He was right on the line when the ball was officially out.

I'm pretty convinced we could play on Mars and us having to beat the Steelers to make the playoffs wouldn't happen.

Its how I feel. Do not think we will win no matter what. Just a mental block.

To be fair, Stefanski (and of course he would) openly said he got out coached.

He did in the first. He definitely didn’t in the second.

I think the point is... when you need less than a yard, go low and use the leverage from your center and you being lower to get the 1st... hell, dive between the center's legs if you have to. Baker tends to go in upright and loosey-goosey with the ball. Its a legitimate critique of Baker.

EDIT: (and let me be clear: Baker was not the reason we lost this game. He's been awesome most of the year.)

I’ll watch again next week as I am a long-suffering Browns fan. Hopefully Landry will have the game of his life!

At the start of the season if I told you the Browns would be "Win and You're In" week 17 game against Pittsburgh, we'd take it and run.

If we can't win next week we didn't belong in the playoffs anyway.

It was the right play call. And the rule has been there for 40 years. Mayfield just has to not fumble the ball.
So I think it was the correct call based on a NCAA forum interpretation.

However what it suggests is that the rule should be re-written. Per the rule book a fumble is any non-intentional act of either handing the ball off, a forward pass, or a backward pass. Which is why this was considered a fumble not a backward pass, as Baker was not intentionally handing the ball off or throwing it backward. However the entire idea behind the rule is to prevent a team from intentionally fumbling. So what this rule should say is that a team cant intentionally release the ball, and let a member of the same team recover.

3 fumbles by your QB is hard to overcome.
