Brownsmas week 16 vs Jets

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
I always thought the rule was you can’t fumble forward under 2 minutes...at least it would kind of make sense that way...don’t see any unfair advantage that can be gained by fumbling backwards that’s dumb

We had chances to win the game.

Our defense actually did their job in the 4th quarter...

Just sucks our drives were so bad.

I am reading the rules, here is the definition

Item 1: Recovery and AdvanceAny player of either team may recover or catch a fumble and advance,
either before or after the ball strikes the ground.

Later they talk about only the person fumbling the ball after 2 minute warning. Basically they got it right, it was a fumble.
It’s the Ken Stabler rule. Stabler and other Raiders “fumbled forward” to score a dubious touchdown In the late 70s.

the only thing i have found that addresses it, is a NCAA forum. It basically says that anything other than losing a ball during an intentional act of passing (forward or backward) or handing the ball off is considered a fumble. But no idea if that applies to the NFL

Well, let’s just win next week. Jesus, two days ago posters were happy to suggest we play the Steelers for the division title, which could also have meant having to win that game to get in.

Well... now you gotta win to get in.

ive since looked it up. It is any forward advancement after the recovery.

I’m very much against any rules that substantially impact the rules of the game based on game state. If that’s a clean conversion in the first quarter, it should be at the end of the game as well.

that said, the correct call was made today.

If we run a “band is out on the field” play and lateral it and it skips on the ground, that’s a fumble, but it can still be advanced, because it’s backwards. That call was wrong.

Everyone wanted to win for the division.

Win or likely go home.

Yeah. such a bullshit ass rule. And given that I thought they did away with the Boody Rule the Browns should had 6 on a fumble recovery earlier.

Steelers got a win, the division is locked up, let's hope they just play like we expected the Jets to do.

Seriously go the fuck away. Just go. Fuck off. Adios. Eat a dick. Choke on said dick. Be gone. No one wants you here.
I’ve never ignored anyone in my life. Never on any message board or social media outlet.
He just made the list.
