Unpopular opinion... I think Watson is a little overrated.I mean, DHop is great.
Trading him opened up more than just a talent hole at WR, although Watson actually improved YoY statistically.
McNair and Easterby have HUGE culture issues they need to face, that speaks more to the volatility than anything they lost from a talent perspective. Team is nearing a full on mutiny.
I think that the Texans (and, in particular, their defense) were so bad this year that some of Watson's numbers look better. Obviously I'm not comparing him to Bortles, but a similar thing happened when the Jaguars were bad--the numbers for the QB look good, because he's playing in low pressure situations where offenses are passing more, and defenses are giving up more.
I think Baker is a more accurate QB, a better decision maker in the pocket, and more capable of keeping an offense on-schedule and in-rhythm. I think Watson's athleticism is crazy, and he has a similar propensity to what Aaron Rodgers did for a few years, where he all-too-often tries for a terrific play, and passes up the offense's chances to make a good play.
All of this doesn't matter though, because the Browns aren't trading for him.
