He sure doesn’t want to place pressure on himself.Restless Mets fans won’t stop booing Francisco Lindor
Francisco Lindor’s honeymoon with the Mets fan base appears to be over as he was the subject of more boos during a 1-0 loss to the Red Sox at Citi Field.nypost.com
"It’s interesting and it’s funny and it sucks,” Lindor said before Wednesday’s loss, reacting to hearing the boos for the first time the night before. “It doesn’t feel right, for sure. Interesting, because this is the first time that it happened in my career, and funny because I’m getting booed and people think I’m gonna go home and think about why I’m getting booed. I get it. They’re booing because there’s no results. That’s it. They expect results, I expect results and I get it. It’s part of the job"
About 70 ABs into his 341 million dollar contract and he's already getting booed. Wonder how soon he wishes he'd still be in Cleveland at 20 mil per season. I know i've said it many times but Lindor is not a Superstar player and the Mets are going to regret signing him to that contract.
I'm assuming that hitting .350 and winning MVP would go along way to helping that team win. Oddball remarks continue from him.He sure doesn’t want to place pressure on himself.
“I didn’t come to New York to hit .350 and win MVP,” Lindor said. “I came to New York to win, and I’m going to do whatever it takes to win.”
he'd have more appearances if he didnt have to watch his grandkids twice a weekBaltimore reaping the benefits of a pitcher that came up thru the CLE & Tampa organizations...
I am very happy with classe for kluber. Nothing against kluber eitherKluber with a nice outing last night.
Lindor SUCKS thus far
Frankie is not in Kansas anymore. My guess is all in all he will have a miserable ten years thereHe's already hearing boos from Mets fans lol

How about him saying he doesn't feel like he's in a slump? What does a slump feel like? I mean, if your barrel percentage is 1.7% (sixth percentile in all of MLB) wouldn't that feel like a slump to you or me? The thing that started to bother me about Lindor in Cleveland was his outsized perception of himself and his delusions of grandeur...and his refusal to admit reality. Nothing has changed in New York, and this is going to grate on New York fans who live baseball a lot more than people do in Cleveland.I'm assuming that hitting .350 and winning MVP would go along way to helping that team win. Oddball remarks continue from him.
I'm honestly not seeing much of a difference. Most people around here saw and spoke about Lindor's flaws for years.Gotta love Cleveland fans piling on Lindor when you weren't allowed to say anything negative about him while he was an Indian.
Still the same guy, just Cleveland fans have taken the rose colored sun glasses they have worn for the last 7 years
Which is not really that big a deal for what he was making in C town, but at 30M per all flaws are exposedI've heard criticism of his batting with RISP for years. For his playoff 'lack of' performance.....for years. For his lack of clutch play.....idk maybe it's me.
I think Frankie received lots of criticism from Cleveland fans the past two seasons but agree he was largely immune from negative comments prior to 2019.Gotta love Cleveland fans piling on Lindor when you weren't allowed to say anything negative about him while he was an Indian.
