The 2021 Cleveland Baseball Organization

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
We'll finish behind the Royals if we don't start hitting the ball. If we start hitting the ball we might just give Chicago a run for their money....It's only June 4th so there is certainly time to improve this club, and maybe that is their intention.
The argument for improving the team through trades is that the Indians are 6-5 against the White Sox, who have the best record in the A.L. However, the Tribe is 1-3 against the Yankees and Mariners.

Also, the White Sox have played the easiest schedule in baseball with the exception of the Twins so they may not be as good as their record. However, they will be getting Eloy Jimenez and Luis Robert back at some point which will give them an awesome batting order.

The Indians will be getting Reyes, Plesac, Luplow, and Berto back and if Eddie and Cesar start hitting more like their normal selves the offense could be all right, especially if Jose gets going. McKenzie, Quantrill, and Mejia have all looked very encouraging in their last starts. It's possible we could have five strong starters going into the second half.

If we find solid starters for the #4 and #5 spots and if the hitting picks up a little I could see the front office going after a first baseman or outfielder like Mitch Haniger.

I didn't know where to post this, so here it goes. It's a question about ESPN fantasy baseball. I traded Ketel Marte & Austin Meadows for Yermin Mercedes & Cedric Mullins. My starting catcher was Mitch Garver FWIW. Thoughts?

I wouldn't have done that... Marte and Meadows will end up better by the end of the season at least talent and ability wise....

I agree with all this. Why in the world should the Indians trade a damn thing for a starting pitcher after watching Mejia, Quantril and Tristan pitch recently? Plesac will return in a month or so as well. Not interested at all in John Gray or any other middle of the road starting pitcher. Adding Cron and Haniger is a different story.

Fair point.

When I graduated law school, a lot of my peers were looking for jobs in D.C.. I personally never considered it because the traffic was such a damn nightmare, and that was decades ago.

It hasn’t improved any, trust me.

In 1989 the Indians made one of those trades. Joe Carter was far and away the most talented player on the team. He was a 30-30 guy, and an all-star of that era. But the Indians bit the bullet and traded him to San Diego for 2 prospects and a OF Chris James.
The two prospects were Carlos Baerga and Sandy Alomar Jr. They were pivotal in turning the franchise around and became iconic Indian team members.
Did the Indians get the best years of Joe Carter? He went on to win the World Series with the Jays. But I'd make that deal again.

Joe Carter was an all time favorite of mine, loved him. But I did like me some Baerga and Sandy Jr is an all time favorite of mine.

I make that trade 10 out of 10 times again too.

It has finally happened!!!!

When does Bobby Bradley make the lineup?

My dream is coming closer to true also, we can have a linuep with only 4 names some day, lol

We have 2 Rosarios, 2 Ramirez and now 2 Bradley's. Double up another position with names and get a 3rd Ramirez and we are set, lol.
