2021 Minor League Thread

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
Daniel Johnson is having a rough year... Hopefully he is just discouraged and will pop out of it at some point.

It was deleted, the mod didnt really say much to me except consider this your warning. No one saved it. It was really bad, but well deserved. They were ruining the thread with their ridiculous hot takes. They kept pushing buttons, I think on purpose. The funny thing is i usually find that shit hilarious, like Heath was one of my all time favorite posters, he was so unintentionally funny, but in this case it was so, so, so bad.
Ah yeah, deleted, nobody saved it... damn. That would've made a really nice signature for someone.

I have long thought that it was a fly in one's chardonnay...Yours seems better.
Yes, but only if the glass was purchased specifically to repel flies.

Anyone down to elaborate on Brauny Munoz some? Arsenal, velocity, pedigree, really anything beyond the basic stats.

I once asked Longenhagen in a chat about him. He checked on him because of the stats, but didn't think he's much of a prospect yet, mainly because of of upper 80s FB. That's all I've got

Any idea why the Royals, Brewers & SF Giants are allowed to field 2 different teams in the Summer AZL???
There are 18 teams in total for the AZL & those 3 clubs are fielding 2 teams each...

That's strange, Pirates, Orioles and Tigers have two GCL teams. Maybe they needed more than 30 rookie level teams to make the schedule work, but no clue how those teams were awarded the extra team.

Maybe it's either two rookie teams or two DSL teams? Or maybe those 6 clubs don't have a DSL team?

We had two AZL teams in 2019

I know, but it was communicated that only one rookie level team per org was allowed and that's why CLE had to cut one, butaybe it's just Dolanz.

I understand the Brewers have 2 DSL teams & 2 AZL teams this year.

The Brewers were going to split a DSL team with the Blue Jays (after splitting with CLE the past few years) but ultimately MKE decided to have 2 full teams of their own as well (like CLE).

The part that has me baffled was the talk of limiting the number of players an organization could have stateside in its minor league groups as part of the minor league restructure last year into early this year. By capping the overall numbers "stateside" (in US & Canada), more money was available for wages with those that remain. The last I heard, the number was going to be set at 180 or 185 (after originally being discussed around 150 or so).

At 180 it allows for 5 different 30 man teams/ groups and having a cushion of players for extended spring training & later draft/ free agent signings. No need to directly cut someone to draft/ sign/ add a player. IF some orgs have 2 teams in AZL/ GCL, how does that math work for them??

@MadThinker88 @BimboColesHair

Let's say they put Vargas on the 60 day DL to add another arm to the 40 man roster... Who would you choose?
I don't see Vargas going on the 60 day IL.. Just my gut feeling on reading how Tribe does things.

Really think Blake Parker is on a short leash...
If a non-40 pitcher gets added, suspect its Justin Garza..
