Hale didn't use a position player to pitch.. I was looking forward to that.

Sure, we made the playoffs, last year felt like a lost, Lindor having one foot out, heart wasn't in it so we learned. This year having the lowest payroll, fielding Tito's worst team since Bourn and Swisher. The changing of the Guard.. always tough for fans. Tito's health, uncertain future. The injuries... Jose and Beib's needs to be extended, but will they? Don't bet on it.

Our future IF is probably the deepest next to our SP. We can stick Franmil in LF and go find a Luke Voit type to DH. Our team has good potential backed by some serious pitching when healthy. We just need a Cornerstone OF.

2016 hurts pretty bad. I'm one happy man if we seal the deal. Fuck the Cubs until I'm dead and gone.

2016.. That was OUR year.. Arrrg.

Making the playoffs is always awesome, and sometimes the underdog rises to the occasion.. But usually the team to beat is just that and they win, while everyone else waits for next year.
 
A series of minor league pitchers gave up 17 runs. Didn't see the game but I noticed Eli gave up three runs in the 2nd inning on one hit. But he hit two batters and walked another. That's unusual because he usually has pretty good command.

Not even close. Ask yourself where we might be had our top 3 SP not gone down with injury and how that might have changed their deadline perspective. Like I've said probably 30 times, this team is on the verge.

Been on the verge for years now, and this iteration is the sketchiest of the bunch IMO.
