Week #1 - @ KC Rematch!!!

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
Our defense was so predictable (hardly any disguises) that it essentially facilitates perfect play by KC's offense. Getting up and down the field was pretty easy for them all game. Even if Gillan got off the punt, they probably come down and score easily anyway.

I think everyone is happy with the moral victory, but let's see your faces when Tyrod Taylor is completing pass after pass against our soft zone next week.
Do you really think the Browns are going to play Tyrod Taylor the same way they played Patrick Mahomes?

HUGE takeaway from today’s game: Schwartz looks like the real deal as a speedster threat…. He could be scary good and I’m stoked to see such good chemistry/timing with Baker so early against a great team on the road.

Teams will be game planning around his speed for the rest of the season based on his performance today and that will help every level of the offense immensely.

1st half we got more stops than they did.

Going up against the KC offense is like facing prime Mike Tyson. Our offense was simply not good enough in the second half.

What evidence do we have to suggest differently? We played that way against almost every single opponent last year.

If that actually happens, then I’ll be concerned. But I need to see it first.

From what I've seen this weekend I think The Browns are a top 5 team. I'm saying this without even seeing The Rams play.

Chiefs
Bucs
Packers
49ers?

Only teams that I'll accept as being better than us this season.

Sure, alright.

The personnel is significantly better - so that won't be an excuse/reason this season.
100% agree.

If the defense is the reason this team doesn’t reach the heights it should, Joe Woods should absolutely be feeling the heat.

Outplayed them. You have to be damn near perfect to beat that team in Arrowhead, Browns weren’t and almost got it done. We certainly have their attention. Need to clean up the mistakes- that’s part of the process in taking the next step.

Do you need to grab a water or something? The Browns saw a bunch of strong defensive stands negated by the excellence of Mahomes, Hill and especially Kelce. The team needs to examine what went well and what broke down. That doesn't mean scrapping the whole scheme when they dominated the Chiefs at Arrowhead for most of the game.

Three up:

1) Schwartz. He made some great plays today. I know he was the guy who lost a pass late in the game but rookies will do that. Upside is HIGH.
2) Njoku. Made some big catches. Don't think we will let him go. Nice to seem him get some separation and make athletic plays.
3) Malik McDowell. Impacted the game. less in the second half but the D got gassed. He looked really good to me. Excellent find.

Three down:

1) Mack Wilson. He still sucks. I know he's a good dude but same shit new year. Missed tackles, bad angles. There's gotta be a better option on the PS of our team or someone else's team.
2) DPJ. So much for the training camp buzz today. Didn't even notice the guy. I won't say one week means much for a WR but he was supposed to be an impact guy, especially with OBJ out.
3) Special teams. Almost missed an XP, the punt flub, nothing good on returns. Gotta be better than that.

We also desperately need Beckham back... I think we threw Schwartz about 8 targets and Jarvis 3... barely anything to WRs all game.
