Week #1 - @ KC Rematch!!!

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
Do you need to grab a water or something? The Browns saw a bunch of strong defensive stands negated by the excellence of Mahomes, Hill and especially Kelce. The team needs to examine what went well and what broke down. That doesn't mean scrapping the whole scheme when they dominated the Chiefs at home for most of the game.

I don't think we ever dominated them on defense. We were pretty conservative on that side of the ball.

Don’t underestimate this being a home game for them with a full crowd helped as well. I think if this game was played in Cleveland we walk away with a close W.

1st half we got more stops than they did.

Going up against the KC offense is like facing prime Mike Tyson. Our offense was simply not good enough in the second half.
Offense was absolutely fine. But 2 TOs and a dropped snap on a punt will do in a team

Was Higgins injured?

Depends on how you define it. A team isn't going to get five sacks and two picks in a half against Mahomes unless he has a bunch of scabs on the offensive line like the Super Bowl.

They held them to ten points in the first half. Look up how often that happens.

HUGE takeaway from today’s game: Schwartz looks like the real deal as a speedster threat…. He could be scary good and I’m stoked to see such good chemistry/timing with Baker so early against a great team on the road.

Teams will be game planning around his speed for the rest of the season based on his performance today and that will help every level of the offense immensely.
I was shocked he played as well as he did. He ran some nice routes and made catches in several different locations. We’re going to be a nightmare for any team to defend.

Entirely disagree on the Mahomes stuff.

We consistently changed the pocket, Mahomes made like… 3-4 under/side throws to beat sacks.

You’re playing an other worldly QB. If Tyrod Taylor plays like Mahomes did, sure.

But no one expects him to.

From what I've seen this weekend I think The Browns are a top 5 team. I'm saying this without even seeing The Rams play.

Chiefs
Bucs
Packers
49ers?

Only teams that I'll accept as being better than us this season.
Did you check the Packers score?

When did I suggest scrapping the scheme? In fact, earlier in this thread I said I agreed with the scheme.

I said there were basically zero disguises. None. Zip. You want to see something a little different here and there.

It was a close game, mostly because our offense took a lot of time off the clock and limited the total number of possessions by the Chiefs. Everyone want to pat each other on the back and go, "Well if we're perfect next time, we probably win!" and I'm just saying, "Eh, our defense didn't look that good to me. It looked easy to dissect."

Apparently Higgins needs to be in the dog house for the first couple games every year before the coaching staff allows him to get some action.

The crazy part is the Chiefs are the measuring stick for this franchise…

Albeit not quite there yet- the fact the Chiefs is what we are comparing too means we have a seat at the table…
