2021 Season | Series #46 | Indians @ Yankees | Sep. 17-19

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
have anyone seen more pitches in a game by an opposing group of pitchers right smack dab down the middle.. being taken for strikes?

We have given up four or fewer runs in a game 81 times this year.

Even with this offense, we have won 58 of them. Thats a 72% winning rate.
wonder how that compares to other teams

As happens all too often this season, struggling team recovers quickly against Tribe.

I rarely post in the Tribe section but I’ll be at the game tomorrow. Hopefully I won’t get mugged or shot.

Mejia making the statement: I’m not yet ready for prime time if ever.

Cam Hill, Kyle Nelson, Scott Moss, Alex Young, Logan Allen, Nick Wittgren, Blake Parker, Brian Shaw, Wilson Ramos, Oscar Mercado, Yu Chang, Daniel Johnson, and Harold Ramirez all in danger or possibly exposed to a roster crunch decision that may not go in thier favor.. a baker's dozen.. Several will remain.. but...

Do what I could to re sign Parker. Everyone else that you listed needs to go.

I'm OK with all of them going. Time to clean out the dead wood. Parker might be the exception - he's pitched very well.

After giving up 11 earned runs in his last 11.2 innings Kluber toyed with the Indians' lineup of undisciplined free swingers. These guys never saw a slider off the outside corner or in the dirt they didn't think they could hit.

Can't believe Plesac threw Judge a fastball dead center of the zone on a 1-2 count. He also spun a slider belt high middle of the plate to Gallo. Other than those two pitches he threw six shutout innings before running out of gas in the 7th. Even then if Bradley doesn't slip on the grass and they get the first batter out the inning could have been much different.

Today Civale goes against Luis Gill, RHP, 1-0, 2.88. Gill is a 23-year-old rookie who has pitched 25 innings in his five starts, giving up 17 hits. His first three starts he went 15.2 scoreless innings, but his last two starts he's allowed 8 runs in 9.1 innings.

Hopefully we see the guy who got rocked his last two starts rather than the guy who dominated his first three. He allowed no home runs in his first four starts before giving up three to Sano, Polanco, and Buxton. Unfortunately, we don't have those guys in our lineup and I think it's probably 50/50 whether we will score a run today. And as always, a no-hitter is not out of the question.

The only good thing to come out of last night's game is hopefully Bobby Bradley learned you don't go halfway to second base on a fly ball to short right field.

FWIW Hoynes had this today:

The longer this season goes, the more I believe the current 40-man roster will undergo big changes in the off season and the changes won’t be that difficult to make.
