Game Thread | 2021-2022 Season | Game #10 | Cavs @ Raptors | Nov. 5, 2021

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
The guy is HardHeaded, and he thinks that he is better than he actually is.
bs it is easy to talk at someone when they aint listening right smh he is a sponge of information not hardheaded that is shooting terrible thanks to the ignored shoulder injury he refuses to let stop him so in that respect aka never quit yep he is bullheaded. some of you are fucking dense on here. enjoy the win and I guess enjoy Sexton wasn't the reason why because he usually was the only reason the Cavs ever had a chance last season.

Hopefully Mobley/Barnes turns into a long-term rivalry and exciting games with Toronto become the norm.

Shout out to Dean Wade tonight too.
Playing the Lauri big SF role and was not dominated as a defender.

On offense he missed the open 3P shots he's supposed to make but went 4-5 on 2P shots including a few dribble drive and finishes.
Not saying he was great or anything, as obviously making one or two of his 3P attempts would have been nice, but he was not one dimensional or useless either.
But he was not useless either. High praise.

Cavs somehow manage to win despite giving up 19 offensive rebounds and committing 18 turnovers, leading to 99 shots for Toronto against 82 for Cleveland.

How often do you win when the opponent takes 17 more shots?

We were lucky that tip didn't go at the end.

Sexton had a tough game, going 4-for-17, but Garland, Mobley, Allen and Cedi picked him up. Cedi is still shooting 50% on 3's, going 5-for-10 tonight. How long can he keep this up?

The Cavs were down 15 at one point and clawed their way back, then beat the #6 ranked team in the Power Rankings at their place. Statement, baby! Statement!

There was a huge play late where Cedi dove for a loose ball, pried it loose, then Rubio dove on it and wrestled it away. The Raptors were up by 4 so that was a key play and two Cavs dove on the floor to get the ball. Garland and Sexton winning those two jumps against a taller player was also crucial. It was sheer hustle and some luck (Allen's 3-pointer off the glass).

This team flat out competes. They're buying into Bickerstaff's mantra of being the hardest working and most unselfish team on the floor every night.

Man I'm so jacked. I just love defensive fistfights like that.

That was way more about how high impact the defense was all night than the offense being bad.

I mean when's the last time you saw Sexton jumping screen after screen? Ever? FVV must have said something to him.

Osman was going all Delly and just diving at peoples knees. I don't know the last time I saw Osman get on the floor.
Exactly. This team has bought into team defense. The other thing is that if we make a mistake nobody gets depressed; we pick ourselves up and fight back.

We‘re fucking Dracula. Drive a stake in our heart or our defense will suck the life out of you.

Can you imagine the locker room after that game?

I get the love for Mobley but Barnes easily had a better showing in this game

Unbiased fans on unbiased forums say otherwise.

And imo Mobley has been meh last few games compared to the standards I set for him and believe he can achieve. Even this season.

But he was not useless either. High praise.
Wade is only hitting 27.3% of his 3's this year and he seems to realize his 3-point stroke is off, so he's attacking the rim. I love to see that because he's better doing that than being a catch-and-shoot 3-point guy. He was 4-for-5 on 2's tonight and his defense was excellent as usual.

Yes, we had a lot of luck, but this team makes its own luck by busting ass and playing as a team.

The Raptors had some luck, too. In the first half they had at least two possessions where the ball took an unexpected bounce after being swatted around and led to an easy score after we had played pretty good defense. They also got some luck bounces on offensive rebounds.

As I've been saying, an objective observer who watched this team, without knowing the past, wouldn't believe the preseason predictions had the Cavs winning just 22 games.
