Do Not Sell My Personal Information
Really frustrated by that one. Nervous about Friday.

Nah. Not tipping my cap. He didn’t just get hot. He hit two wide open threes with no one within 5 feet of him. That’s beating yourself. Not getting beat.

Stevens couldn’t actually foul him in time properly because he got dusted by multiple feet on the inbounds two times in a row on the same play that was fucking just flipped in terms of where they inbounded. He shouldn’t have been anywhere near the game.

why didn’t JBB call timeout to get Garland in the game to take those FTs Rubio took? Why save it for when you go down? You gotta get your offensive/FT unit back on for the most important possession of the game if you’re gonna play the sub in/sub out game.

it’s ok to admit the coach failed the team tonight. He’s the one who needs to fucking learn from tonight. I feel bad for the young bucks on this team that played a good crunch time on and put us in a position to win to see JBB shit all over it by going gigantic and slow against a team full of small ball wings and guards desperately trying to kick it out for a three.

we lost due to strategy. We didn’t have the right players on the floor to execute the proper strategy to hold on and win, and therefore had the wrong strategy.

Kuzma hit 2 3s just minutes before his final 2 in the last minute to keep them in the game, both of which were fairly contested. He didn’t get hot from being left open in the final minute, he already was hot in the 4th.

I’m not going into everything else that was done wrong by the coaching staff, just what I saw as you inferring in your original post that JBB didn’t tell his guys to foul on the go ahead 3 when that clearly wasn’t the case, both in what his players actually tried to do and what he has since said post game.

Yes, I’ll tip my cap this game. Every break went Washington’s way down the stretch, from Okoro folding under himself and losing a defensive rebound that led to a Beal 3, to Rubio rimming out a FT to keep it a 2 point game, to Mobley’s hand getting slapped into the ball with 3 seconds left off Garland’s miss.

Shit happens, we’re down 3 of the top 8 on this team, got kicked in the nads with the Sexton news, and should have beat a team playing well that tests our team well on top of it. Come back and curb stomp Detroit and move on.

The way I look at fixing Garland, Okoro, and Sexton as backcourt is to replace Okoro or devalue what we expect from him and try to get a tall PG that can play defense and shoot 3s. I think there is just too much of a gap on offense for Okoro to become a starting SG. We have to redefine what role we expect for him in the future.
That’s been my point all along. Okoro shouldn’t start on this team. He is role rotational player.

If,this team can't beat the Pistons on Friday then all the playoffs talk should be on pause for a moment. No way,we should lose to the Pistons on Friday.

This. Nothing else to be said regarding last two minutes

It's not as bad as it feels. If the team hits their free throws then nothing Washington did matters.

Stevens did foul him but the refs don't want to call the foul in those spots when a team is down 3. So you have to really, really foul them. Not just sorta hand touch him.

I see him do the typical drive by 2 hands on the hips take foul that 99% of games see, but apparently that wasn’t a foul tonight.

I’m a little worried about this team potentially hitting a rough patch of losses. The lack of creation on the team right now hurts a lot, especially since Garland isn’t always assertive. When guys like Cedi, Okoro, and Stevens are sometimes expected to be your secondary creator on the floor, offense is just so difficult for the team.

We need Love back honestly. He provides some offensive stability by being a great floor spacer and being able to use up some possessions when nothing can get going.

Cavs were also outrebounded by nine. Dean Wade is a terrible rebounder. JA gets criticized for not boarding against more physical guys like Harrell, but he at least got ten. Wade got 2 in 28 minutes. Even when Love isn't doing well on offense, he always boards. Wade never does.
