Hawks felt more like a blip because they play unsustainable basketball IMO. Grizzlies feel legitimate.are the Memphis Grizzlies the 2020-2021 Atlanta Hawks?
Ja is a just an athletic freak, similar to a young Russell Westbrook, but with a better jump shot. Garland isn't that kind of athlete (few are), but has more of a smoothness to his game, not unlike Steph Curry, and he too is a deadly outside shooter. Ja will certainly give you more highlight plays, but I hope that doesn't lead to lots of injuries, as he's alot of fun to watch.Ja is better player than Garland...he is like a cross between AI & VC with defense.... but Garland's game likely has longer shelf life (better shooter and below the rim)... Ja plays acrobatic, reckless and hard (that's why he is fun to watch), hope he avoids big injuries in his career...
At least the guy has his facts straight lolMagic fans are pretty pissed about J. Isaac being a total mystery post injury with no idea about his return timeline. Meanwhile - not trying to start a political debate - he’s filming stuff with Ben Shapiro and the like. Which also leads to further acrimony.
Very strange situation.
You can have Ja. I'd rather have Mobley. He's just an absolutely relentless attacker of the basket and the freakiest leaper at the PG position I've ever seen. Seeing a 6'3 guy almost eye level at the rim the other day on that dunk against the Lakers just blew my mind.
I'm not sure there's anyone in the league under 25 I would take over Morant in all honesty.
It’s a close competition for sure. For our team, Mobley obviously. If I was starting a new team though, I might lean Ja just because come playoffs I lean towards perimeter stars who can create for themselves and others and carry an offense. Morant averaged 30 ppg, 8 apg, and 5 rpg in his first playoff series last year, which is just stupid. You can have Ja. I'd rather have Mobley.
He had an incredible series, bug the Grizzlies also lost 4-1 with their only win coming by 3 pts. The whole team was a revolving door in defense, but Morant needs to be the one to lead that on his current team. They're better as a team this year but their best defensive games were without him. It’s a close competition for sure. For our team, Mobley obviously. Morant is getting better by the game. Definitely feels like a superstar coming out party.
