Since Severance was so good, I'm going to give another AppleTV+ show a chance and start watching For All Mankind.Any good series to recommend? Or movie for that matter.. I just thought i'd ask it here.
For all man kind is a very slow burn but season 2 is one of the best seasons of TV everSince Severance was so good, I'm going to give another AppleTV+ show a chance and start watching For All Mankind.
Have read some good stuff about it but can't recall seeing it mentioned on here.
I've watched the first 1.5 episodes and so far it's like a slight alternate reality where the timeline from our current real history was changed due to the USSR putting a man on the moon first. Not like a sci-fi/multiverse type of thing, just a fictional version of Earth/the US if this event in history had happened different.
Main star so far seems to be Joel Kinnaman, who was in the Suicide Squad movies. Was really great in a detective show from a decade ago called The Killing, which is definitely good if you enjoy a good detective murder mystery procedural set in the Northwest US.
He is fantastic on his home field, but have to say I thought The Deuce and Treme were "road vctories" , for sure.We Own This City was fantastic.
David Simon should only ever make shows set in Baltimore.
The Boys season 3 is easily the best of the show so far. I'm one episode behind, but anything A Train does through 4 episodes has me dying of laughter.
Agreed. I think its certainly the best paced season they've had. It feels like the stakes are higher and there is a lot less fluff. Less fluff + more Homelander is a recipe for success. Antony Starr deserves more mainstream recognition for the best bad guy on TV. He's giving Joffrey Baratheon a run for best psychopath this season.
Old Man started great, a little uneven and predictable, but a stellar cast and you have to like Jeff Bridges. Looking for a big finish. The Old Man on AMC with Jeff Bridges and John Lithgow has started out really strong. Can't wait for the next episode to come out.
I'm enjoying Dark Winds, too - produced by George R. R. Martin and Robert Redford. It's kind of a slower burn, but really good so far.
Thanks for the suggestion, I did want to mention it airs on FX, not AMC. In case anyone else is looking for it.The Old Man on AMC with Jeff Bridges and John Lithgow has started out really strong. Can't wait for the next episode to come out.

Only Murders in the Building Season 2 started well enough.
I know a couple of episodes came out, are they coming out weekly after that or all at once?
Yeah, every Tuesday until the season is over. Similar to most Apple TV shows.
I wish they'd all just drop the whole series at once. Or half one week, half the next. We like to binge them, which means waiting for the series to be over or almost over.
Timing would have been perfect for the whole series, too, we just binged season 1 a week or so ago.
