Had a unique perspective watching Full Gear
Worked at my drug rehab job and got to watch the whole show with men who hadn’t watched since Hogan, and the Attitude era and here are some notes….
The Jungle Boy match was loved. They loved Jungle Boy and immediately bought into the David and Goliath mood. I thought If Jungle Boy won the casual fans would kinda not like it but it was the opposite. The brutality and overall solid work kept their interest and that 1st match was well received.
They bought the Saraya VS Britt story and liked that match. They were invested in Saraya after commentary explained her story
Long story short they liked every match and like every storyline. The one match they tuned out on was Jades match but they only tuned out because Jade is so hot they couldn’t focus.
They absolutely loved all the tag matches. They loved Kieth Lee leaving Swerve and they loved the Acclaimed and trios match. Most the guys had fallen asleep by the main event but the one guy who stayed up loved the match.
