My gut tells me that Jose has some real pull in regards to Rosario being used the way Tito uses him. That's the only thing that makes any sense to me. And that's why I have a horrible feeling that we might keep Rosario long term.

Please talk me off the ledge...

No he not, Arias, Freeman or Rocchio as they go through the rookie pain wouldn’t sure us of being above water….I’m sure management see what you see, but some reason he our SS and batting 2 , hmm , who had the professional skills to make that decision them or you……And yes that was a bonehead play the other night when he try for 3rd base, but if I’m not mistaken there was a few bonehead plays in that same game.
 
And is Gallagher around because of Bieber? Geez, who's in charge of this circus?

I've thought similar too, it's hard to believe that some considerations around Jose don't play into what's going on. I don't think Jose is making the decisions per se but I think there were a lot of things talked about maybe from the FO to Jose as part of the contract extension. Tito might not even be a large part of it.

My thought on Tito's personality has always been that he is almost too agreeable, so he is not likely to stick with something if it is suggested the other way around. Maybe I'm wrong there, but I don't see him as some stalwart insistent on playing Amed against the FO's wishes (particularly when other players' development is at stake), for clubhouse dynamics or not.

Big bummer that we're bending over backwards in so many ways to the detriment of the team and younger prospects behind him, all for a guy with a negative war at this point in the season... And it's not even just Tito who wants it! Feels like just a complete failure all around in bringing him back for this season.

He (to this point at least) has not helped us win this year, so we're just kept in limbo for this season.

That's not an argument, that's basically just saying have faith in the professionals who make those decisions. And even if those rookies need to take their lumps...if they don't take them this season (very hard to have been worse than Amed), they'll take them next year, so that's a double minus if your evaluation is correct.

The same professionals made lots of poor decisions (Zunino, Yandy, Caminero etc), so it's well within the range of probability that it's just another poor decision. It happens, they're not perfect.

Doubt we'd be getting public comments like this if we were entertaining keeping Amed.
 
If Jose has nothing to do with this, it has to be someone above Tito, right?

Not a straightforward, single person or part of the organization.

Just remember. Decision makers are dealing with real people and relationships when they make moves. Can't operate in a vacuum like you're on an internet forum.
