thats kinda pessimistic
Bibee is probably your AL Rookie of the Year if he breaks out of camp
His is around 160? He got to 132 last season...
It's higher.
And they aren't hard stop figures either. It's a case-by-case situation where you take other things dealing with the pitcher into account.
Now sit and ask yourself if Bibee and Williams are looking stronger the more innings they are throwing, or are they laboring through their starts as they either pass or approach their IP totals from last season.
Easy answer..Really good series offensively. Eight runs the first game, five the second, and nine the third. That's 22 runs in 3 games. 15 hits today and 13 yesterday. Calhoun had four hits in a row at one point. Sponge Bob with three doubles today and two hits yesterday. Gimenez 8-for-14 in the series.
And that's with Josh Naylor missing the entire series and Jose missing the last two games. With a day off tomorrow Jose will get three days off. Hope the rest revitalizes him and he comes back with a vengeance.
Bibee is now 9-2. Gavin Williams must be wondering what he has to do to get a little run support.
The Tampa announcers were talking about how everything the Guardians hit found a hole. They were mostly right. But it's about time they had some luck.
That was a sweet swing by Arias on the 438-foot home run. But that was his only hit in five at-bats.
Bibee appeared to be having a dead arm in Houston with his 4-5 walks in first few innings. But he turned in pretty good as that particular game went. Besides that, there's nothing concerning. They both are rocking and rolling and we have a ton to be excited about when the dust settles on this season. They definitely aren't laboring, that's for sure...
Williams I feel like will have a lower inning limit than Bibee since he got to 115 last season plus wasn't a full time starter until 21... Bibee had two seasons of 90ish innings before we drafted him...
