Deliveries, sure.
Verlander is the carbon copy guy, mechanically, that you’d like to see harder throwing guys who aren’t 6’6 monsters imitate. Smooth and uses a lot of his legs and torso to generate his power, which is what let him rack up as many IP as he has to this point in his career. What Tanner does well too.
But stuff wise? He’s pretty similar to guys like Spencer Strider and Dylan Cease. Doesn’t quite have Strider’s 99 MPH in his arsenal or the bite of Cease’s slider, but very similar pitch mix, velos, movement on the pitches, etc.
Espino is the Verlander clone in the system. That’s who I see from the mechanics to the loudness of the stuff when I see him. Verlander and Jose Fernandez.
