2023-24 Season | Game #69 | Heat @ Cavs | March 20, 2024 | 7:00 p.m.

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
I wish I felt this way. After the win streak and the changed style of play, I just can’t look back and be happy that they underachieved as soon as they got healthy again.

I was right there ready to worship JB and admit he’d changed his ways and was evolving into a great head coach. Then he just pissed it all away and went back to sucking out the fun.
I just look at it like 50 wins for a NBA team is pretty pretty pretty damn good. On top of the fact how many times has that happened with this organization. If Don can get healthy (which is seeming low at the moment) I still believe this team can advance to the second round... Everyone has different opinions as well... I hated the days of 20 wins season etc...

Maybe with a handful more minutes, Morris could have hit one of the 9 misses
of Niang and our mood is over the moon.

Two years ago we had Lauri. Last year we had Mitchell. Both seasons Mobley was on the floor so we had a shot at winning a game where we only scored 104 points.

That's not this team. He doesn't even have Strus and Wade out there. I mean Okoro had 7 points tonight. Garland was doubled most of the night, you have the Heat's bigs playing up on the PNR 30 feet away from the basket, no one is cutting, and Okoro finished with 7 friggin points. He's the starting 2 guard, and yet, people are blaming Garland.
Two years ago Lauri played 30 minutes a night and scored all of 15 points per game.

Niang tonight outscored the average Lauri game from two years ago. Sam Merrill tonight was more of a threat than anybody on that team.

For fuck’s sake Jarrett Allen had a 20/20 game, Caris LeVert was able to break down the defense just fine, and Okoro was 50% from the field. These are just massive excuses.

When Mitchell’s healthy, Garland struggles because he’s got to share the floor with an MVP candidate. When Mobley is healthy, spacing is to blame.

When Garland gets handed the keys to the kingdom and can’t take Jovic off the dribble, it’s Okoro’s fault. Cmon man.

Brunson is lighting fools up with his whole team
injured, but Garland can’t be expected to shoot 40% against a Heat team starting Thomas Bryant and the corpse of Patty Mills?

Ok I had to Google that “Life of Riley” reference so I will admit you must be older than me, but this mindset is ridiculous.

First of all, I don’t see any Uber positive motherfuckers in this place. Especially after a loss, its majority the same complaints over and over. I think it’s fair to push back on overly critical fans especially when there are so many fingers that could be pointed tonight. I don’t put this one on Garland at all but he’s the whipping boy. He’s not playing at a max level right now but I’m rooting for him and winning matters more than arbitrary statistical thresholds.

If you “live and die” by this team, please touch grass. If you’re a Cleveland fan you should realize how much worse things can be and try to appreciate what we have here, imperfect as it is. Only one team in thirty gets the chip.
Ok let me rephrase that some of us are real fans and dont live off the sweat of LeBrons nuts. Is that clear or do u still have the taste of salt on ur tongue?

i would before the season and now gladly take being 1 game back for the 2 seed at this point in the season. it's really a miriacle.

but also very much fearing we will drop to 5 in this last stretch.

Yeah in terms of the standings we’re not in bad shape at all. I mean it’s frustrating we’re probably going to blow the two seed but it is what it is. What bothered me last year was this sense that we just maybe weren’t that good, which was confirmed in the playoffs. This year I actually have no strong sense of how good we are or could be because it’s like never the same team from week to week, the personnel changes entirely. We could get some key players back healthy and be good, we could get everyone back and suck because of the Mobley-Allen fit issue, we could not get people back but all of a sudden be great like we were in February. It’s just extremely weird. I feel like the only thing I know for sure is that a healthy Mitchell is indispensable if we’re to win a series

I am remaining positive and thoroughly enjoying this season. 13 games left and they need to win 7 more games to get to 50, which is certainly doable. 50 wins this year would be incredible given the circumstances that has happened this season. Then anything can happen in the playoffs.
I love your optimism. I do consider u a true fan

Someone else may have mentioned this falling to the 4 or hell even 5 seed and then having the Magic first round would not be a bad thing...

Can’t compare Garland to Brunson. They aren’t even playing the same sport at this point. One is a MVP candidate, one is a candidate for worst contract in the league going forward.

Glad Merrill hit some 3s but man it is absolutely ugly when he gets ran off the line.

Garland 3 ball is still looking good. Low turnovers will have me singing to the moon every time.

Levert's 3 looks like it will miss every time. Thankfully he's doing his best Donovan Mitchell impression with a very nice all around game.

But man, you gotta get CPJ in there. We need another way to score/distribute the ball from the backcourt and he provides that.

I enjoy every season regardless of the end result; I enjoyed Cavs games at the Cleveland Arena, enjoyed Walt Wesley’s 50 point performance , etc. For me, the frustration stems from the fact that this team does have so many excellent pieces and that we‘ve had so many golden opportunities to be sitting comfortably in second. Moreover, while I feel like JBB is well-liked and done a decent job of getting us to this point, I don’t feel like he’s the one to take us where we ideally want to go…akin to the Mark Jackson to Steve Kerr transition

Then next year Garland rebounds and Brunson breaks his jaw, things change fast

You’re missing out. Sorry the kids don’t visit or whatever.

Miami scored on their last 5 possessions, mostly at the hands of Rozier- who did not
get ICED.
Especially with 1:24 remaining when Okoro fouled Rozier on that 3point shot which wound up being a 4 point play
