What's crime/panhandling like in Brook Park compared to downtown? Especially at night.
I hear the homeless people there will hit you with Wrenches/Hand Tools for no reason. Should work good for home field advantage when the Squealers are in town!

Would honestly prefer they find a location downtown and build a domed stadium. Not sure how anyone should feel about building on the toxic mess that was that Ford site.

Brook Park received a $10m grant from the state for hazardous waste cleanup.

If any of the hazmat is left, set up some grow lamps and maybe it will help a natural grass field grow in the winter. Jimmah can set up an industrial scale grow operation in the rafters and dispensary in the plaza as a new side business with his political connections. Market the strands as Halftime Haze, First Down Flower, Garrett Trainwreck, RedLine Special, Cardiac Kids Kush.

There was a spot by Tri-C back in the 90s but Mike White insisted on being on the lake. Wonder what happened to that site?

I heard a bit about the cleanup and the site, not holding my breadth. My dad worked there for several decades and continues to say "that dirt ain't right".

Maybe we win the super bowl and start a zombie apocalypse all at once?

(It would be worth it)

Everything is great, except for the last strain name. There cannot be any mention of children's related themes, etc. for strain names.

If Hunt was still here, we could have had a Kareem's Kickin' Kush strain.

I’m not trying to be a dick, but $20 isn’t a lot and people not liking going to downtowns shouldn’t be in consideration. Plenty of parking garages already and could be more mixed used with apartments and businesses built above.

This country is too reliant on cars in general. The Browns stadium literally has a train station in front of it. Park at one of RTA’s outer stations.

I live in Canton, I can't get to the games without the cars unless they setup a train station of some type where you can park then ride the train to the game... Aka They could actually find a way to make this actually pretty interesting IF they find a way to get trains or something like that to go throughout Northeastern Ohio in a sense...

I would not be shocked if parking prices were similar or worse around many of the nation’s suburban stadiums. I also hate building everything around cars.

But… If you’re building a billion dollar property that needs to attract shitloads of people, they are gonna take the pros and cons of the locations into account so long as they affect the bottom line. Haslam isn’t gonna do what’s best for the city, he’s gonna do what he can get away with.

There is something off about Cleveland having an indoor stadium, but it’s not like the team plays at Lambeau, I guess. At this point shitty weather for a team that’s usually been shitty stops feeling worthwhile.

Lee, what are you basing any of this on?

Believe we call it “white flight” away from the downtown area to the burbs.

Lots of teams are proving this out into wealthier, outskirts of the downtown area to capture more market.

Economically, they’re often not wrong. Braves being the latest example in mlb.

Can Cleveland really support that though? Phoenix and Atlanta are growing. Isn't Cleveland kinda shrinking.

Also how would I beer bong out of a mannequin Johnny Manziel's asshole in the muni lot if they move?

But hey if they play some games in Canton, pregame at my house, I'm only ten minutes!

I think the move to a place right off of 71 and 480 will bring many more visitors, not to mention not having to deal with the hassle of downtown.

Say what you want about the millions of parking garages and whatever, it's an obnoxious walk to the stadium, especially in shitty weather.

This won't be popular, and I'm biased as someone that lives near Toledo, but I'm so happy they are moving away from the lakefront. And if Cleveland cannot afford/doesn't want to make a deal, then their loss.
