Game 58 | Cavaliers vs. Hornets | February 23, 2010 | 7:00 EST

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
I tweeted this as well, but...

The Cavs gave up 40 points in that second quarter. They allowed just 39 in the entire second half.

Take out that truly awful 2nd quarter, and this isn't even close. But, that's why they play the game.

I love Collison, and I was stunned when the Hornets picked him up since they already had Paul. Good thing they did.

This is off topic, but if I were rating the rookie PGs, it would look like this:

1. Evans
2. Jennings
3. Curry
4. Collison
5. Lawson

I bring this up because I want someone to explain to me how the hell Minnesota took about 20 PGs, and didnt end up with one of those 5. WHAT?!?

Anyway, good win tonight for the Cavs, but this upcoming road trip is going to be a bitch.

jennings number 2?

currys numbers are way better

Whew, that was a close one.

For a minute there I was thinking that the Cavs made a pact with Z that they wouldn't win a game until he returned. This would be bad on two fronts. First, it would involve a lot of losing. Secondly, this could be considered grounds for tampering and thus Z wouldn't be allowed to return. This would mean the Cavs would lose out!

Anyway, glad to see this isn't the case. Let's play a game of "one of these is not like the other" now...

16
40
20
19

At least the defense is back to 75% of its normal intensity.

I am glad I was at the Library till the second half so I missed that 2nd quarter Windy's tweets were making me angry enough

I think those Lapses are everyone getting used to each other again

Naw; I'm not worried about Mo. Some players can step right in after missing lots of time and not miss a beat. IE: Delonte. Other players will take awhile to get their legs and get their timing. IE: Mo It's not a big deal as we have plenty of time.

I was disappointed that Brown couldn't see a benefit of giving Powe a few minutes. Boston is next and Powe WANTS to play.

Would it even be possible for nobodies numbers to go even though we just added Jamison's 18-20ppg?

Sure; but it's a game to game thing. We should be playing the hot hand. If Mo is hitting, keep shooting it. West,.. keep shooting. LeBron.. keep shooting... whoever... keep shooting. It's a good thing to have so many shooters and scorers. All players will not get their points each game. We only need a few to have 20 points. Others have 10 to 15, etc. Who has what will depend on the game.

I just hope we keep everyone healthy.

Cory Brewer, traded, immediately tore a hammy.

Josh Howard, traded, tore his ACL.

Camby just left the Portland game with an ankle.

I blame the Amare thread.

Thoughts:

A-Jam is a fucking monster.
A-Jam is a fucking monster.

AP loves to hop when he see's A-Jam throw one down, he just dreams he can one day do something as righteous as that.

... and you need to zip it up. shhhh. :D

I'd put Collison as the best out of those 5. I got this stud in fantasy and the guy is basically Chris Paul but younger. It's ridiculous. But seriously, the only reason he wouldn't be the best of this class is cuz he hasnt played the whole season. Otherwise, mos def wouldbe.

How 'bout we call Jamison.....Space Jam?

You know; watching Jamison for years with the Wiz and I didn't really know much, but DAMN; the Man is a beast. Also; who the hell said this guy couldn't play defense?

What a fucking pickup.

EVERYBODY IS DUNKING!

Just got out of an exam, missed the entire game.

It appears that besides that outburst, we handled them pretty well? LeBron 13 assists, 0 TOs?

On the downside, Mo still shot like shit. We can't have that against the Celtics. In addition, Moon is back in the lineup, but no Jawad, which is okay with me. Finally, LeBron playing 44 minutes against a team that should be easily beaten is way too many, especially at home.

Jamison + Shaq + AV combined for 22/39 for 52 points, 20 rebounds. That's huge.

We absolutely have to get more production out of Mo and Delonte (Mo in particular tonight). If we're counting on Parker to be our top scorer in the backcourt, we are in trouble. The fact that our frontcourt puts up 73 out of 105 points shows how poorly our backcourt played.
