Game 58 | Cavaliers vs. Hornets | February 23, 2010 | 7:00 EST

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
Kornheiser described an outfit Storm was wearing at ESPN last week as “horrifying,” saying her shirt was too tight and looked “like she has sausage casing wrapping around her upper body.”
Kornheiser said he had called Storm to personally apologize for the remarks.

:chuckles:

Just got back from the game and I've got a few notes to share:

(1) Before I even went to the Q I had a delicious Smithwicks at Flannery's. Not so significant except for a soap design on their front window saying "Come back soon Z!" and all decked out in wine and gold cavs insignias. Everybody wants Z back and it was nice to see the support outside of the Q making it known.

(2) If you eat at the Q and the line for Quaker State is too long, you have to go to Michael Symon's "B Spot" for a burger. I ordered the specialty one with the bologne with a side of rosemary fries. Usually I'm a chicken wang type of guy (how playa is that mahn?), but that stuff was delectable.

(3) Loud homecoming for the home team tonight, louder than most games I've been to. Maybe its the fans way of letting the team know their offering support after the three game skid, or maybe because its Antawn's first game at home, either way the crowd was jacked. Doesn't mean they were all homers though because I was hearing quite a few boos peppered in during that horrid 2nd quarter. Usually I'm against ever booing the home team, but with the obvious lack of effort being shown there it was well deserved.

(4) I was sitting next to Joe Sixpack in 202 and even he telegraphed the Lebron "hero 3s" before they happened. I'd like to consider myself a pretty knowledgable fan and not a blind Cavs homer, but when the casuals are able to call the play its starting to get almost comical.

(5) Never heard of this Thorton guy before and for the longest time I thought #5 for the Hornets and his point total was a Q Tube malfunction. Congrats to the rookie, shame on the Cavaliers.

(6) My reaction to Antawn's dunk of David West: "Holy snap! Hit me again Ike, and put some stank on it!". Seriously. That was filthy.

(7) The ride home had me and the clique talking about this upcoming matchup against Boston. We all came to this conclusion that Mo needs to come to play on Rondo, the team needs to be aggressive, and if there's even a close repeat to that 2nd quarter we will lose. But on the plus side I hear no Paul Pierce for awhile, so that's good.

(8) Finally, massive rep for the head of Aaron Goldhammer.

UH...I 'm glad they won,but this performance reminds me of several years ago when the Cavs would let some unknown player just torch them..MARCUS THORNTON ..U let this guy have a all-world performance???
37pts for a rookie guard????
Darren Collison 22pts???
Whats up with that?
No one was banging these guys making them WORK for their shot...NOT EVEN CROWDING THEM....Mo/Delonte/parker..U guys aren't the rookies, they are...
Of course MB does the curious thing once more by shrinking his rotation this early...could have used a couple of other players in the lineup to help out.

You know it's good when you still win by 10+ even though that guy was on fire and he hit everything. This shit happens, it's NBA, but to overcome this, that is what really counts.

Those kind of excuses are unacceptable. We said the same thing when Jameer and everyone else on the Magic went off at the end of the 4th. You have to realize that we're the best team in the East, if not the NBA, and people are going to come out on fire against the Cavs. Especially now that it seems like the Cavs have a chink in their armor so that aura of invincibility from before is gone.

We can't just say, "Oh he was on fire so whatever" because that's going to be commonplace when other teams play the Cavs for the rest of the year imo.

Marcus Thornton was averaging 10 points per game in limited minutes for the season. However, he was the SEC player of the year last year averaging 22 ppg. In his last 20 games (basicaly ever since they got rid of Devin Brown), Thornton has averaged 15 ppg in 27 minutes per game.

So its not like he has come out of no where against the Cavs. He has been contributing for awhile now.

Is it sad I am pumped to rewatch this right now?

I think it's normal. We all know you always re-watch the games. :chuckles:

I want to have games I can watch to remember what a great season this was for me.

Hey guys... what do you rank as the best games of the year to watch/dvr/etc.?

@ Kings Overtime?
Jamison's starting debut?

What else?

And ones that are on League Pass too (not national games).

Sadly I got through to the 2nd before the audio became faster than the video. I want to watch the unedited version but this is it. I have an edited version for no commercials but I like to fast forward through commercials. LPBB archive sucks as it freezes from time to time and the DVR is a hassle...so I will be watching this when somebody I know fixes the audio...so I will see 2 games tomorrow, back to back...I love not having homework tomorrow and done with classes by mid afternoon....

Cavs marathon....

The most recent Knicks game with the hot first, but LP just has it from the middle of the 2nd
